Starting a PLR membership site, looking for topics

I'm going to be starting a PLR membership site for content (mostly outside of IM) but I'm kind of dry for topics that are in NEED. So, I was wondering if a few of my fellow warriors could help me out coming up with some general topics that are in a fairly high demand.

I could always use the typical:

Acne
hairloss
weight loss
health
etc. etc. etc.

I was just looking for something a little more, so I can be sure to provide the best content.

umm well there are a ton of topics that are in need.....

      major ones now would be...

      debt consolidation
      credit
      infant care/ baby thing
      parenting is a good one

I havent seen much on Fantasy sports leagues and not sure if there is a market for this but I just got into the NFL fantasy league and could have used and ebook giving pointers on how to go about drafting a team etc. Big money here I would think since everyone I know that plays puts big money in the pot for it. Taking 500 or more a team.

Vacations that dont cost a lot or how to cut corners on trips......people are hurting for money now but still want to take there trips etc. Content on how to plan a trip for less and giving them places to look for things would be good.

Weddings are a big one always....my wife went nutz during this phase of her life lol.

I could be wrong now but I think recipes should be on the rise since people are not eating out as much and are looking for cheap meals at home.

People are always looking to better themselves in some way or make the more attractive to employers. So anything to do with this would be good.

The going green phase is going to be huge I would think as we go over the next 10 years. Guides on how to make your house more efficent etc.

THats just the few I can name off the top of my head. I guess more of what I have been through lol. Hope this helps.

There are niches that people never cover like:

      Tennis
      Rugby
      Cricket
      Football
      (think of sport related stuff)

      or/

      the art industry like:

      Digital Design/tutorials
      Digital Art
Uncovering rare art at bargain prices etc.

      or/

Think of sites that are more hobby related and fun. Well I guess some of them take the following subjects seriously...

      Avoid Being abducted
      UFO paranoia
10 mistakes you will make when meeting another race/species etc.

hehe.... gosh I love topics on different things.

There are so many PLR sites with the same crap over and over. What you need is originality and you need to be different. Think of topics people do not normally cover.

      * Gardening
      * Space Travel
      * Unlocking the signs to destructive hurricanes
      * How fear can motivate people to great things
      * Hypnosis
      * 10 ways to start your career as a virtual assistant
      * Working for hotels
      * Tips to being a successful Betting Shop Manager
      * Great Working Holidays in Europe

Those are subjects I thought off in the past 2 minutes.

Be original and it will pay off.

      Good luck!

One market that is huge both in terms of high searches per month/low competition and highish cost per clicks in adwords google campaigns by the few competitors there are, (showing its viability) is "pest control".

It is the perfect cross promotion/complement to the

organic gardening niche for obvious reasons and may be just the

"angle" someone was looking for as well as a nice niche topic for your

    plr membership.

    Hope it helps

One way to find topics is to "spy" on the competition. See what other PLR sellers are offering, and while it's unethical to copy, gather ideas and figure out what you can offer by going in different angles with the topics.

I probably shouldn't give this tip since I am a PLR seller as well, but it is a helpful way to gain ideas.

Also, if you plan to build a list with the membership site, be sure to provide a way for your subscribers and members to request specific topics they would like to see.

I am not going to run off a list of niches since you've got plenty of suggestions already, plus it depends on your own areas of knowledge.

I will say that I took the research very seriously before I started my own membership sites. I made sure nobody else was offering something the same, but that there was still a demand for it. It may take longer to find an untapped market but it's worth it.

Some methods of research I used....
    * Past sales stats for my PLR packs,
    * Looking at the requests people had sent me for PLR topics,
    * Sending out a survey to my list members,
    * Thinking as a marketer and looking around here at the kind of niche websites marketers are creating,
    * Looking at other PLR memberships and seeing where there was a gap in the market.

      This reply was so HELPFUL!!

Dude this thread is golden, I am preparing to launch PLR membership site the end of next month some time and I am REALLY trying to focus on bringing fresh original content in niches that are hard to find.

Hey, what about niches you are personally interested in? This will make it even more fun to put something up big like that

I am curious, how do you want to promote weightloss or acne PLR sites? As these niches are quite overwhelmed now a days.

High searches with low competition doesn't matter at all and here's why: If there is low competition in a market you are looking to offer a PLR service for then you will have a hard time finding customers.

Think about it... Marketers are the competition so if you want a better chance of success with your PLR membership you must go to where the competition is (i.e. topics where the marketers are building their websites around).

If I were looking at starting a PLR membership site I would first turn the News sources and watch what most of the stories/topics are about day after day.

Look to specialize in one area and create a solid offer. If you're offer is good then other PLR memberships will not matter at all. Deliver a good offer along with quality PLR material and your site will have a better chance at success.

Offer value at a fair price! Extend this by also including extras like information products on "How To use PLR For Maximum Profits!"... etc... Show LIVE examples of taking PLR material and showing how best to rewrite the material and use it to get more traffic, etc...

    You get the idea.

Well, if you are writing the articles yourself, try and pick something you are at least interested in a little. It'll help.

    Here are a few ideas:

    -Frugal Living (couponing and stuff)
    -Green Living
-Fitness (There is a lot more diet PLR out there than fitness PLR)
-Golf (I get a lot of requests for this because it is hard to find)
-Amazon Reviews (Pick a section of Amazon to base it on and start reviewing products)
    -Clickbank Reviews (Same as Amazon)
    -Parenting

The way I pick topics is by looking at what is already selling in my shop and asking my list.

Another way I've found out what my list wants is by seeing what packs people buy when I send out an affiliate promotion. If a PLR seller is having a 50% off sale and I get tons of commissions from a weight loss pack it lets me know my list wants more weight loss PLR.
