I guess what you are saying is you have the traffic(through ads), but they are not converting to buyers.If that is the case then my advice will be to go back and do a research for your targeted niche. Make sure your ads are targeting those you are trying to solve their problem with your product.

For the research, you can follow the following steps for a start.

Keyword research
Forums to get the inside of your targeted niche
Q&A sites like Yahoo etc.

However, you would want to create a converting sales page too.
The formula is simple

Traffic+Conversion = sales

Agreed with Steve...the OP's questions were so broad I couldn't answer.

Resale, who is your target market? Where are they? What do they need from you? What problems do they have that you can solve? What can you fix for them at an investment that is definitely worth it to them to trade you the cash for the solution?

As an experienced marketer, I can tell a lot and I mean A LOT...and so can other experienced marketers...from the words the question askers use and the questions they ask.

A more specific question will demonstrate a more specific knowledge and experienced level, and generate a better answer.

To get targeted traffic first of all make list of Forums & Blogs related to your niche then do comments on these blogs & forums. Make some guest post on related blogs. Create a landing page capture readers email then ask them to check out your updates.

You can increase your site traffic easily. But it does not mean, your sales will be increased instantly. You can increase your site traffic by doing the SEO. You can do relevant blog commenting, relevant forum posting, or, by submitting articles. Even you can use the Social media site, today most of the people pass their leisure time by using the Facebook, so it is a great way to increase your site traffic. Thanks a lot.

If you are already paying for traffic and that traffic is not converting , then it could also be a case of a poorly converting website .
Furthermore a very very small percentage of people will buy on their first visit to a site , for a number of reasons .

They may want to do some further research , it might be five days before payday and as a consequence they can't afford your product or numerous other reasons . Then you have spent all that money for advertising on the spin of a roulette wheel .

What I would do is get an email capture ( squeeze page) set up and then offer them some form of benefit or gift to sign up

Once you have them on your email list , you can market to them at will over time .

However that then provides your next challenge . So many people see their list as a cash cow , and it may well be. But you need to cultivate it , provide extra value and help to your list and then occasionally offer them something to buy .

Do NOT burn through your list by selling selling selling otherwise you will just destroy all your good work

Your ad should lead to a FREE OFFER (Lead Magnet).

The FREE OFFER can be accessed only if they sign up (opt-in) to your EMAIL LIST.

Once they are on the Email list, then deliver the FREE OFFER to their inbox.

In subsequent emails, introduce your other products and offers you want them to buy.
