Live Chat on your site

Found this cool thing that makes it really easy to provide live chat on your website, and it's totally free. From your end, any time someone wants to chat to you, it just comes up on your normal Yahoo messenger, which is convenient.

It's really easy, and like I said, free. Go to http:// messenger . yahoo . com/pingbox/ and click the create a pingbox button. It will pretty much guide you through the whole rest of the process, and it's really easy.

It's funny, I've seen people selling something that does basically the same thing for thousands, only those solutions weren't as convenient, because this integrates with Yahoo messenger seemlessly. It even will tell you when someone has logged on to your site, and will tell them if you are available or not.

Cool little app, free and easy. Check it out.

One question I pose for you though is does this give you the ability to record and save your conversations with people? The reason why I'd personally save the conversations then, even if you have to do it manually is for a couple of reasons.

    1. You can use the convos as future training for your outsourcers.
    2. This is a very easy and convenient way to create a FAQ for your business/niche/site/whatever widget is you are selling.

I use Crafty Syntax Live Help . It's free and has been a strong software now for years...and you can also save conversations too.

Thats a neat little tool! I added it to one of my sites but I can't type in a message when viewed using Firefox. Also, it shows me as offline even though I'm online (I use trillian).

Does it work ok for you?
