Not me, just heard about it myself and was happy to know it wasn't just my computer not being able to connect. Hope it's back soon - I've become accustomed to its face!

Twitter is experiencing a denial of service attack. They are back up but
are still fighting off this attack.

Wow, somebody must be damn powerful or have some big connections to
      bring down Twitter.

I remember when this happened with Clickbank about 6 years ago.

      Not pretty.

The main guys of Twitter aren't hard to get a hold of. You can get their attention by going to the main page of twitter (the login screen), scrolling down and clicking "About." It will show you people who work for twitters profile names, and you can tweet them. That and their private phone number is how they got in probably

    Twitter's holding up my newsletter.

I saw a Tweet the other day that I really liked. I decided to include it in my newsletter today - but now I can't access it.

    Frustrating...

Not sure why anyone would want to do a DDOS attack on Twitter.
I could think of better things to do!

It could be pissed off spammers who suffered from the crackdown, or some kids looking for fame.

Either way, it's lonely people with too much time on their hands.

It appears that both Twitter and Facebook are under a DDOS attack.

    http://themanicmarketer.com/twitter-...hacker-attack/

I was just posting about it here. Facebook has slowed to a crawl and some of their functions (such as adding links, adding friends etc) are buggered while they wrangle things under control.

I am curious as to why and who is behind this and I am sure time will tell.

    All the best

I'd like to see some of these damned hackers caught and jailed pretty soon. It seems like they are after anything and everything they can get their paws into any more.
It just amazes me the knowledge that some of those freaks have and they can't come
up with any more ingenious ways to use it than to hammer other people's websites.
They are risking making enough problems that the Gov will just be able to use it as
one more excuse for censorship. Time to go wild west and just off the hackers as
    we find em, eh?

All of my websites have been under DDoS attacks for the past 3 months.
And it's done by a fellow warrior. At least I could 'comfort' myself that
even the big guys get taken down as well.

It's sad how your website can be so vulnerable and there is little you
can do about it. It's not a perfect net.
