How to do a JV?

Hi guys,

Are there any circumstances under which you would offer someone ownership of a product in exchange for doing the marketing/sales aspect of it? If so, what would those be, and have you done it before?

  • If they buy the product from you outright you won't get a cut of the profits they produce.

    What you'll want to do is set up an affiliate program for your product and offer the marketer an extremely high commission.

    There may be yet a better way to do this but without knowing what your product is about and your situation I can't really comment.

    I believe Brian McElroy may have tried this recently with a product launch. If my memory serves correctly...he mentioned that he did the promotion for a product in exchange for partnership in the company...I'm not sure what percentage of the company he retained though...
