Question to successfull Fiverr sellers:
Are you generating external traffic to your fiverr gigs? Or only quality gig with demand and good reputation is sufficient for regular sales?

Quality gigs always sells well but at first you need to use some marketing promotion so that the customers and reach to you.

No you are not required to promote your gigs externally however the more traffic you get to your offers the more chances you have of making the sale so promoting externally can help you get more orders and more hopefully positive reviews and help you increase your trustibility factor faster.

You're not required, but it is recommended.

My advice to you is simple. Work EXCLUSIVELY with Fiverr traffic that is more than you need. Because who want to buy something in FIVERR is looking for gig in fiverr. So if you are going to try it externally it will consume too much time, since Paid advertising normally will not be worth it.

I only use fiverr traffic and until today i never had problems with it.

The reason you post your gig on Fiverr is to take advantage of their organic traffic.

Here's a scenario for you - You pay for a visitor to your gig. They decide not to buy from you and may very well order from your competition.

You have just paid for traffic that someone else (Fiverr at least) benefited from and you didn't even get a "Thanks! Sucker!"

If you want to increase traffic to your gig, post it in other places.

Brent hit the nail on the head (and gave you a nice traffic location, OP).

The benefits of using Fiverr are numerous.

    Here are 3:

    1. Organic Traffic.
    2. Trust (people know Fiverr; they don't know an eCommerce section on your website).
    3. Common acceptance on Fiverr of "Up-Sells" and "Cross-Sells."

If someone makes a point of telling you about the measly 5 bucks per gig on Fiverr, they're missing the big picture.

When it comes to getting traffic, don't play around with PPC, keep it nice and simple: find out where your target audience hang out, plonk your ad copy in front of their eyeballs. If you can do it free (forums, email signatures, socials), great; if not, if it costs a little, just test the waters and gauge your ROI.

Just do both. Add more gigs to your profile and get search promotions from those, plus the promotion that you do externally.
