Email Marketing advise and other

Hello, I am new to email marketing and I wanted to see if you guys can point me in the right direction.

Right now this is the plan:

1)I am in the process of creating a small e-book I can offer for free to potential clients to get them to sign up and get their email. I will post it my website. (maybe a pop up)

2)Using mailchimp pop up maybe, client will leave their email and it will go into a main list in mailchimp and segmented in a group called "prospects" which then I will use to send a special about my services for them to covert to sales.

Some questions:

1)Does that sound correct?
2)What to do to get clients to find my page in the first place?
3)Is mailchimp a good system to use for this? I already use it with my current clients.
4)Any other input or ideas to better the process?

    Yes, that correct. Then do SEO and spread the word about your page in Social Networks to get leads.

    Mailchimp is a good one. Support is not just responsive in my experience.

    Hi there,

    There's no need to use a pop up I know some people find pop ups annoying so I would have your free eBook for all to see at the top of your sidebar above the fold so visitors to your blog/website will see it and subscribe to receive the book.

    Make sure you mention the word free like 'grab you free book below' and make the title on the free book good.

    So far the plan is solid. Don't use a pop-up if you're just leading them to your squeeze page... would defeat the purpose. To get people to your site, try paid advertising to see if your niche is responsive. Run a simple PPC Google Adwords or Bing Ads campaign, or even Facebook to test the responsiveness of the free ebook on your squeeze page.

    There is nothing wrong with using pop-ups, but make sure it's not annoying.
    Your plan is good, you only have to work on getting more and more visitors.
    Don't get discouraged, but if you don't have much experience with AdWords, you may get punched in the face and make no sales, but at least give it a try! And your ad should be inviting and about your service. Because they should click to look at your service(s), and if there is a book that you offer for free, they will like you even more!

    Do you have a sales funnel in place?

    Do you have any PPC knowledge or experience?

    What is your service?
    I will offering bookkeeping service to Restaurant owners.

    Do you have a sales funnel in place?
    I did read the link and no I dont have this ready. Will do more reading.

    To give you a more detailed idea:

    #1 A squeeze page
    this will be a page in my website correct?
    #2 A OTO (one time offer) page
    I will be offering a month free of bookkeeping service or something like that.
    #3 A freebie thank/download page
    I will be sending them the ebook I am writing.
    #4 A "register your purchase" page for one time offer buyers
    Not really sure what this is since the goal here is to have them call me to setup an appointment so I can learn about their business and sell them my services.
    #5 A paid product thank/download page
    i think I can set it up in mailchimp.

    I would use a membership site and offer
    instant access to the site with NO email
    or opt-in.

    They will be able to view some videos for free
    but when they click on a premium video... then
    they will need to opt-in or pay for a membership.

    This works sooooo much better than the old
    process that people are getting tired of dealing with.

    I would also create a short video offering a solution to a common problem your clients may be faced with and post it on you tube . Make sure to include lots of key words that your clients may be using when searching for bookkeeping solutions. Title it something like " Five ways your restaurant can increase profits ". and be sure to add a link to your site .

    When it comes to finding clients, you need to find out where they're currently hanging out and what problems they have and what they are doing to solve them.

    Google is the obvious example; what are they typing into Google to solve their problem and then how do you get in front of them?

    Or if they're on Instagram, what kind of stuff do they like to follow and then create it.

    And they might not even be online, you can go offline to online. Create postcards that drive leads to your website, then collect the data (that's the first 'sale' if you like) then email or call them to follow up.

    Just that simple question, where are they right now and what are they looking for.
