What program are people using to do speed drawing of logos?

I use Sparkol to make whiteboard videos. But lately I have seen people making speed drawing videos of logos and images. The hand paints them in and draws them out. Are they doing something to the photo in photoshop first and then put it in Videoscribe? Or is it a totally different program all together people are using. If anyone knows.

    Photoshop is still the best option when it come to logo making as it was user friendly and has a lot of great features.

    It is very easy to use and you can make more detailed modification in your logo.

    Photoshop is what I use and what everyone who is doing serious graphic design is also using. It is the best tool and also most professional one out there.

    If you had learned a little bit of Photoshop, creating stuff like logos will become verry easy.

    For use with whiteboard/scribing programs, vector images generally get the best results. And, the vectors have to be created using the proper "paths" to get optimal results in the whiteboard software.


    Photoshop is really a bitmap program. Vector programs would be Adobe Illustrator, Inkscape, Serif Drawplus.


    IMO Sparkol Video Scribe and Explaindio are the best at whiteboard sketching, although there really aren't many choices. Both programs can sketch bitmap (png, jpg) images as well as vector (svg) images, but svg will give the better results. And svg images that are created correctly will give the best results for sketching.

    Is that a real drawing done and then sped up. Or is that done in photo shop first and then put into a program like videoscribe. How do you get the hand to paint out the entire logo?

      I doubt this person is doing live video since he/she's selling it on Fiverr, so I'll guess it's Video Scribe. As I said above, the graphic can be made in any number of ways.


      You can always check out Youtube for Video Scribe tutorials and download the free trial version and see for yourself.


      From a marketing/money making point of view, how beneficial is this technique to your bottom line? The only financial benefit I see is if you wanted to sell similar projects to customers. Personally, I'd focus more on good video script writing.

      If you don't want to use Photoshop, you might try a new product called Youzign. It has been out about a year and is very easy to use. You can search on the forum for them.

    Hey, I don't know if it gives a technological resource but Fiverr blog recently posted about some various content ideas, and it showcased that very thing--a hand drawing a logo--and so maybe it will send you to an idea. It's #6 "stop motion videos"

    Something I can actually help with!

    The video you posted was not a real hand doing a real drawing. You can tell because the hand holding the brush never really changes - just tilts a little bit to match up with whatever it's pointing at. The creases, colors, and shadows all stay the same. The logo as well has been done on a computer - there is no color on the paintbrush.

    So it is entirely digital - but what program was used to make it? I can't say for sure, but I imagine it was done with a video editing program like Premier or After Effects? I have a friend helping me make a few speedpainting videos of my stuff and he showed me a few tricks in those programs. Here's a tutorial video I found for something similar if it helps!
