Thank you for reading the post, i will try to keep it short and interesting. if you feel like you can input any points of value that will help myself and other marketers, it would be much appreciated.
I'm still fairly new in the world of IM and a lot of the time it appears to be a maze, a place where a lot of us get lost. So here are some points that i have picked up on the way and if any of you seniors want to jump in and correct me please do.
First off you can make money via.
* selling a product
Now I have made money from all 4 methods, a tiny amount but still money.
I have also lost money trying to get the right formula.
I have been brought into many of these money websites promising the world and to make you hundreds of dollars in days or minuets.
You know deep down they are not what they say they are, but they have a good sales pitch and it always seems tempting.
But save your money, you can find all the information you need on places like this forum.
Most of these programs cover the same thing.
Pick a niche, build a website/ landing page with an email signup for a free give away, then market to the customers. they purchase what you are selling and hey presto, you make money
It's that simple! Right!
Well, yes and no.
Do you know how to get enough visitors to your website so that you start converting sales?
You can buy solo ads, facebook ads or even bing ads. This can be costly if you are promoting the wrong product that doesn't pay enough to cover the cost of the ads.
The reality is that the money is in marketing to the newbie internet marketers.
They are the people who are most likely to purchase a digital product, which has the highest return.
heres an example.
A man trying to get a 6 pack- yes, lots of these on clickbank. V's Earn a living posting on social media.
Both of these items will be a an ebook download.
both at $47.
The man looking for a 6pac, knows that really he needs to be down the gym, he knows he could buy a mens health magazine for a few $ which it trusted. It would be a waste buying a book that would cost the price of a gym membership.
Now you may get the odd sale through facebook, but will you get a sale from posting in a fitness blog, this is unlikely. Yet this is vital for traffic to your website.
The man looking to earn a living, is most likely looking through facebook or a forum like this.
They already have in their mind about making money, they have a dream. you simply nurture that dream and sell the dream to them rather than that product. " If you already use facebook, you already know 99% of what you need to make money online".
Hold on, I use facebook, i want money online. Show me more.
The person is then directly coming to you for help. They ask you for information.
The funny thing is they will believe what you tell them, because they contacted you and not the other way around. They have that trust that is important making a sale.
So you give them something simple, like show them how to get a clickbank link and past it on facebook as a free guide.
They make one sale maybe or come to you asking im not getting enough traffic/ conversion rate, what can i do?
the answer is simple, you buy my $47 ebook which has full steps about increasing sales. Taking your money making to the next step.
They purchase your book, they trust you why wouldn't they.
the book contains information about creating ad campaigns to promote your product. you follow it and you find that you are making more sales, but all your profit is wiped out in the ad fees.
You must be doing it wrong! the lead then goes back to the seller stating that is working but i must be doing something wrong, can you help.
The seller replies, sure! i run a course on getting facebook ads for only 1 cent a click, its only $200 but it will show you how to solve your problem.
This is the cycle, upsell after upsell.
The make money niche is saturated but it is also very lucrative, with low costs after the initial outlay.
Once again, all of this information can be found on this forum, you just need to know where to look or who to ask.
I chose against this method for my business and it is probably why i am not sat on the beach sipping cocktails.
But what i did learn from looking at them as well as countless hours on the forum is,
Don't focus on the money, if you do you will keep chopping and changing your ideas and look for the next shiny object.
Instead focus on your business plan and how to drive traffic to your website.
Be prepared to spend a little on things like aweber or mailchimp so that you can set up auto responders and email your email list that you capture from your website.
Pick a topic that you enjoy, mine was golf. This means that when you spend your time in forums posting about your subject, it is of interest to you.
My first website was about aeroplanes and it got so boring that i gave up as i had no interest in it.
Give your target something of value 90% of the time for example.
You have a website about growing flowers and someone signs up to your email list, which you have already automated through aweber or mailchimp.
You send them an email every day about a type of flower and the perfect conditions as well as a growing tip so that the reader can try to improve their garden.
On the 7th email you send them an email offering this wonderful plant food that will help their garden blossom.
you then go back to emailing tips or anything else of interest. Then you send another offer, a special garden gnome only available for our loyal members .
These can be products you sell on your site, they can be Amazon affiliate products. it really doesn't matter.
What matters is the process you use. look through the steps in this post, get an idea of than you want to do and then search the forum and learn how to master each section.
then after few months of hard work, you will be successful.
Hopefully this post isn't too long and has been helpful. apologise it went on but i hope it is useful
