Starting a Loan Affiliate Site

Are you already and experienced internet marketer?

Is this a product/site that YOU own, or are you an affiliate promoting someone else's site?

If you're looking to get started I would suggest creating several youtube videos about loans. Make sure that the videos offer quality advice to those who watch, make sure you aren't just trying to get them to buy into your product. Be sure to put a redirect to your affiliate link in the description (I can tell you how to do this if you don't know)

Upload at least 15 videos, then go to fiverr.com and search for somone who does manual social bookmarks and order about 200 MANUAL bookmarks (the manual part is important IMO) pointing to each of your videos. Don't do this all at once, do it over the course of a month or so.

If you do this, you should be getting some good traffic, and if your product converts you'll be getting some good sales too!

Payday loan is one of the hardest niches in general. I can quit understand you, because it can pay well, but if you are not so experienced (and yes you are not if this topic exist here) I would rather choose another niche in your place.

Unless your product has a high conversion rate and high commission, your advertising is likely to result in a negative ROI. Depending only on advertising is not a good strategy. Do videos and a blog about personal finance, in which you can promote the product. This assumes of course that you have some expertise in personal finance and can write about it.

In my own experience with a site that contained significant personal finance and credit content, my attempts to promote payday loan affiliate programs failed. Promotion of "free" credit score services by Experian and Transunion, however, has done very well and produces a major part of the income from that site.

For the past 15 years, I have had huge success promoting PPL (pay per lead) offers. I favor ones that have some financial positioning...have a make, get or save money angle to them. That's what has typically worked best for me, as they tend to have mass appeal. So payday loans fall into the "get" category.

However, I have had very modest success promoting them and they aren't on the top of my list. I think the high interest rate that is charged, just kills off mass appeal that I'm always looking for.

If you have ever read any of my posts, you know that I'm real big on buying targeted data(email), because I'm building assets that I can market to over and over at very low cost. With that said, I have never purchased targeted data that was of users that are or where seeking to get a payday loan. I have always ran the offer on the back-end of another offer or to a general list that converts well with evergreen offers.

So if this is something that you really want to promote, it's probably worth going out and getting some payday load data and testing to see how it does. Also, my guess is that someone who get's a payday loan, will probably do it more than once. There's probably some statistics you could look up on it. So you may want to seriously consider segmenting those out that convert.

Anyway, something to think about...could be a winner.
