For some reason my wordpress sites keep getting compromised, im guessing for not being updated on the latest version of WP...

does site lock work well? has anybody used it?

Will that keep people from compromising?

I doubt that is the solution you need.
Check all devices that you use when working on your site for viruses.
Use strong passwords and use a nickname so your true admin user name stays hidden
Install ithemes security plugin. Restrict logins to ip locations that you use. Change the login url with the plugin.
Also make sure you have a very strong password on your cpanel.
If you still have issues you may have sneaky code already on your site. Have the host wipe it clean and start over (unless you have a ton of content in which case talk to them about hiring someone who can find the bad code).

Most compromised WordPress sites are a result of:

    1. Not keeping it up to date
    2. Poorly coded themes & plugins
    3. Poor security, bad passwords etc

SiteLock isn't going to do much if the site isn't properly secured. You'd be better off paying an actual developer to ensure your site is properly secured.
