How much is this worth?

I have a site I'm considering selling on Flippa or possibly listing here in the sites for sale. Not sure how to value it since I haven't sold a site before and it's one that I never drove much traffic to because I ended up going in a different direction with something else. But the assets are there:

- Keyword research done
- Unique ebook in a profitable niche - 77 pages/13,000 words unique content
- Professional sales letter
- Facebook fan page with around 1000 fans

So basically it's a ready made funnel with everything all set to send traffic and make money. What approximate would you recommend offering it for?

Thanks for your feedback.

How much is it earning per month?

Take that and multiply by 10 - that's what you can get for it.

You didn't mention existing profit so right now, I'll give you $8 in Burger King coupons.

I'll raise you an expired $10 I-Tunes Card.

Seriously though, if it's not making money, maybe $100-500, depending on how desperate the buyer is.

What's the profit you make on a daily bases. The amount of traffic the site receives. Traffic and profits is what most people will be interested in if you plan on selling it..

Ok. So basically the unique content/product and funnel doesn't have much value? It's only based on profits? I never did anything with the site after setting it up, I ended up getting involved with something else and forgot about it for quite a while.

It's really not unless it's proven.

You can sell it as a "Done For You" funnel for around $100 or so I'm guessing.

Or if you actually want to cash in a bit you need to drive some traffic for a month and get statistics and then you can sell for x7-10 the earnings.

It's kind of like buying a used car, but the owner won't tell you if it runs or not.

If its your dog training site in your sig, the links are broken.

    Hi
If there isnt much going on with the site then the value is peanuts, if you want good money for it then push in some traffic an move it farward for few months an then you might have higher chances of selling it...

Its like saying your selling a car that you bought but not started it for a while and left it in your garage and forgot about it.
The chances are the car might not start although its low milage and has a engine with leather interior and the flashy alloys....

The point is you need to get the car started and make it up and running then find buyers for it.
No one likes to buy a car that only looks good but needs to be running...

Same as your site its got the fan page and the proffessional sale page, ect....

Hope that example made some sense but good luck with it mate

You'll have a better idea if go to flippa and see what kind of sites are selling, how much traffic, if there's a profit or not, how old the site is, all are factors that increase or decrease the site's value, if you sell or not your site at flippa there's going to be a fee.

At Godaddy.com there are website auctions.

It's already been stated here but a website's value is predominately based on a multiple of profit.

The average multiple for a website is roughly 2-3x annual net profit (more specifically Seller Discretionary Earnings which involves adding back costs which aren't necessary to run the business but the previous owner may have taken e.g. a company car). There are of course other factors that can move the multiple along this scale.

Unless you really do want to just offload it, see what you can get on Flippa. If you believe in the the model, prove it out. See how much you can make in 6 months and then you'll have something to base a real valuation on.

If anyone is interested, one of my team wrote a very in depth article on how to value a website.

It's worth what a ready, willing, and able buyer will pay you for it. No more, no less.

And as has been said already, most willing buyers are looking for consistent daily traffic and consistent daily income.

Ready-made web sites with product and all are very easy to make yourself or buy online. There are inexpensive "business-in-a-box" offers all over the place. I got one today in my inbox . . . 10 ready to go sites for $9.95.

    The facebook page is unsellable.

I would add a freebie report, some ebook graphics, a squeeze page, and 7 to 10 emails for a good follow up to sell the ebook, then sell the whole thing as a complete site/sales funnel ready to go. You could get $30.00 to $50.00 for that

A bar of iron cost $5. Made into horseshoes, it's worth $12. Made into needles, it's worth $3500. Made into balance springs for watches, it's worth $300,000. Your value is determined by what you are able to make of yourself

I wouldn't buy it as long as it isn't generating any profit.

Not much if you don't have earnings right now. Multiply your earnings per month x 10 (minimum) and you will get a decent price.

Actually the site price may varies on the Traffic, Content, page rank & so on. So you should check on these section.

Don't listen to the "how much profit does it make" people here.

The value is in the list you have or the traffic you generate.

Since you have neither of those, your site is worth about $100- $250 on Flippa.

Designers on there sell "made for you sites" all day long for that and they have no sales, no traffic, which is similar to what you have.

    Best of Luck,
