Twitter niche, is it too competitive?

Is the Twitter niche over saturated? I ask because I started a twitter blog a few months ago and got too busy with other projects to finish it, now I've totally lost interested and I think its just not a profitable niche anymore. I could finish the site I guess and try to sell it since I can't get motivated to work on it anymore.

If you're not interested and believe it's saturated - why waste your time on it?

The niche definitely isn't saturated but the reality is irrelevant. If you believe it is then you're probably not clear on how to make money in it - in which case, it might as well be saturated.

Don't do it just because you think other people might make money doing it.

exactly i agree with you Andyhenry,
i ever do something likes OP said. My friends said to me that "xxx" niche is good for making money online. And the others said that "yyy" niche is great. but it makes me confuse to choose, and i personally think that exactly i don't know "xxx" niche and "yyy" niche.

Well, you must try to another niche that will not be saturated in your opinion,

      cheers,
      Malik

Well, there is fierce competition in that niche, but people are still milking it for what it's worth. Why all the competition? Well, it's such a simple system, and it's pretty easy to take advantage of it, make software for it etc.

Many people still believe that there are much money to make on twitter, and buy into hype twitter products, software etc.

Personally, I wouldn't jump on that niche now, as I don't think twitter will remain twitter as we know it today, for too long.

As a Twitter user, looking at all the DMs and tweets I get about making money on Twitter, looking at the discussions on the twitter-dev mailing list, looking at the things people say to me about Twitter... yes. Yes, it is.

As a marketer, I say there's no such thing as oversaturated. All it takes is a slightly different approach, and you may as well be a whole new product.

But if you're another "me too" product about getting loads of followers, don't bother.

I don't think there is a niche out there that isn't saturated, you just have to be better than the next guy and get buyers to your site, that's my opinion anyway.

Yes, there's a lot out there, granted, but I don't think it's over saturated. Not by a long shot. In any case, opportunities to sell most anything on Twitter are SOOO diverse. You don't have to JUST sell How to Make Money On Twitter related products. You can sell almost anything on Twitter if you put your mind to it.
