Is referring traffic to Warrior Forum ok?

I'm a new user and I found an referral link to send traffic here.

Will it help or hinder establishing myself in the community if I refer traffic here?

Edit: Deleted some text that breaches self promotion rule.

Regards,

Kieran

so if it's ok I will refer all traffic to this forum to learn more about it.
    A lot of people do.

The people you refer will know who you are and presumably trust you so I guess that couldn't hurt.

The "community" here has no way of knowing how new traffic is directed here. If you do or do not direct traffic here will not make any difference to anyone.

What will ruin your reputation here is if you start sending people that only want to post spam links or blatantly promote their signature links. Members here have seen it all and rightly get very defensive when newbies are just out to try and sell get rich schemes or other garbage. I doubt if new members get many clicks on affiliate links no matter what they are for until they have built up a good reputation. You can't, of course, control how everyone acts once they get here but you can try to encourage people you send to read the rules and practice standard common-sense forum etiquette.

      This is definitely on point.

Also, 'importing' your cheerleading squad through your own sources might be a bad thing IF it is done primarily to 'inflate' thank count, post tons of 'attaboy' low value responses, or otherwise game other indicators of credibility.

If you have a product u could ask ur customers to leave a review on ur sales thread. That would help your reputation and your product credibility.

Using the standard WF referral link probably is not very helpful. However, what I've been doing for the past 16 years is sharing my own WF posts on live webinars, email campaigns, and as an adjunct to article marketing .

In my experience, leveraging the reputation of WF and its search engine ranking for targeting prospects can be quite a powerful marketing strategy. This does not necessarily even need to involve WF members at all to be effective.

Whoah 16 years!? That's awesome, I'm new to forums so it's exciting to see that long term memberships and relationships can last online. I've read a lot about how short attention spans are now, so this is refreshing.

Thanks for the very interesting strategy. I did notice the WF posts rank really high in Google.

Yes they do. That's why WF is the frequent target of longtail kw question spam using a '1-2 punch' Q+A spam strategy. Those are very easy to spot though. Both the account asking and the account answering have very low post counts.

This is exactly why your posts should provide real value and substantive relevance; not just for those here on the forum but even more so for your targeted reading audience. With help from Google and perhaps a bit of active promotion (as I alluded to earlier), a thoughtful post quite often can go viral; picked up by bloggers and other publishers.

  • I think referring people to WF would be helpful to them. A lot of good info here.

I was referred here and I trusted the person that sent me.

But I am in agreement, that if people are referred and they start spamming the WF, that is definitely not good.

Does WF have a way to stop something like that? I hope so.

We need to keep this clean for sincere questions and answers.

I think if you can come up with some thing useful and legitimate i don't think there is any problem on that. But we warrior here hate spams and all those money making ideas out of no where which really gives a hard time here.
