Weird Blog Spam Lately...

INTERNET MARKETING

I was wondering if anyone else is getting this stuff: It looks like the old keyword stuffed blog comments of the past except the keywords are now in the content area of the post - Akismet always captures this stuff, but I have only seen it in the past couple of months. Up till then I got the usual fake posts that say things like "I really like your blog, I am going to recommend this post" or other such nonsense.

Now it all looks like this crap:

Anyone know what new spam tactics are behind this crap? Just wondering

I think it's a special piece of programming code that will tie all blogs together and cause the internet to blow up...

Or the marketer could be dyslexic... Take your pick

Seriously though, it is generated by a bot that auto posts random words just to get the "black hat" spammer 60 gazillion backlinks... tired and sad...

The current theory is, that when a site triggers a red flag for too much blog spam links, google goes back and penalizes all links that it can tie together in same linking pattern by matching text on the page. This is probably trying to get round that google filter. It's same sort of thing email spammers do to avoid detection.

I've been getting a lot of crap like that lately too. And its usually the same name posting to the same post like 10 times a day.

That makes sense - trying to get around google filters...now that MS is trying to attack google with their "Bing" search engine I wonder what new tactics will be taken to get backlinkage...

For me I never use auto comment - only trusted members.

I dont get that spam but I got bunch of spam without any URL in it neither in the URL section. All mails are gmail mails but it is definatly spam. It looks someone want to get their mails through akismet spam lists.

I had gotten a few lately and figured it was a comment generator and submitter.. kind of like an article writing software and submitter.
I just read, laugh, delete, and move on. Sometimes I forward them to friends because they're kind of funny.

That looks like the work of a Markov text generator to me.

Basically it's been entirely written by a computer that picks words based on the structure of another piece of work, normally a novel.

It's really quite sophisticated given that what it creates is utter garbage.
