Youtube idea with great potential

I recently joined warrior forum though I have had an interested in IM for the longest time and making steady steps ingrowing my online business.I have come up with a great idea that I know and feel deeply will be a great asset for Youtube as a brand and in tuen will generate great revenue for me and anyone I partner with on this venture.
My query is,how do I patent/copyright this idea before sharing it (lol yes,it's that exciting )and how or /do I need to approach Youtube? As this is directly connected to the content created and uploaded on there.I will need a great marketer and a developer to team up with!

Any tips and advice and proposals(even joint venture suggestions) will be much appreciated

    You can't copyright an idea. You can't patent an idea either, but you can patent the implementation of it - in other words, you can patent the way you will actually build/produce the idea in a technical sense.

    As far as whether you need to approach Youtube for permission, it's more about whether your idea violates their terms or helps other people do so. I would check those terms carefully. Even if it doesn't, you probably don't want to go forward if your idea is something Youtube wouldn't like, as they could probably find a way to block you technically from being able to do it.

    Getting ahold of a decision maker at Youtube and engaging them in a business development type of discussion is not going to be easy if you don't have a company/website/credibility.

      "Great ideas" are a dime a dozen.

      If yours really is that earth shaking, sit down with an IP lawyer and see what you have to do to protect it.

    There are many niche you choose, football, movies, music, funny video, cut 1 or videos, one of the music or, synthetic clip fun, football .. very very much if you want to do and have time

    YouTube doesn't pay that much unless you're able to generate over 100,000 views per month which isn't as easy as it sounds. You monetize your videos by linking them to your Adsense account.
