Hello people,

I'm new here and I really would like to start making money online. I have read several threads but I don't know what is the best way to make money. Here there are more informations about me so you can suggest me the right method:

- I'm able to design and setup a website by myself, but nothing special.
- I have already tried affiliate marketing with Clickbank (by selling someone else's ebooks), but all I earned is less than $100 in 2 months because I only sold 4 ebooks. I advertised myself on YouTube.
- I really would like to work from home and make at least $1500 per month so I don't have to work in real life. Of course I know that it requires time and I do not expect to earn so much in the first months.
- I have a lot of time to spend online (even 7-8 hours per day) since I don't have a job yet.

So, if anyone can suggest me a good method to make money I would really appreciate it thank you.

I am in the same boat, would definitely be following this post.

I can do basic websites though am not an expert at designing. I have 11 domains registered and am interested in monetizing that virtual real estate. I read GoogleCash in 2005 and never took action. Infact I can be called "NO Action KID". I desperately want to change that. I found WF a week back and I think its been great learning.

    Anyways Its ACTION time.

Thanks poglia for pulling my words out of my mouth.

You have already covered the easiest way to get started and that is affiliate marketing...

There is so much to take into consideration here though.

What can you do?... do you have any skills that you can use for promotion.

Do you have a budget?.. if any budget at all?

I have often found that most people looking to "make money online", don't usually do it, but those who set out with an action plan to build the foundations of a business that can grow over time usually achieve better results.

If you can build a website, then you have a head start..

      Now you need two things:

      Traffic Generation

      Traffic Monetisation

You drive relevant traffic to your platform and then monetise with something they want..

Wrap this into a structured business plan and you'll have a good starting point

      Peace

      Jay

My first money making sites were for famous artist like Salvador Dali.
I made site with unique content and sold posters via allposters affiliate program and related books from amazon.
You can read reviews from other users on amazon and write your own.

Pay attention those two things together. You kind of answered your own question a little bit.

You saw success with what you were doing...it is just a matter of scaling it up and learning how to do it better. YouTube is a great place to generate traffic. You should also look into article marketing, depending on your niche.

Look at ways to increase your effectiveness.

Are you trying to gain ranking in solid keywords for your niche? Traffic is one of the major components of affiliate marketing and ranking for solid keywords is vital.

Are you linking straight to the affiliate sales page. Consider creating a landing page where you presell and have an optin list where people can join.

These are just two things out of many you should be working on.

Learn how to make better converting videos. Try new ideas for your videos and TRACK THE RESULTS. Look up information on how to do video marketing better. There are a ton of tricks and tips on video marketing out there.

You have seen success so just scale it up and get better at what you do.

    Gluck

I've found that having a plan written down is the best way forward.

By all means read and take the time to understand and get your skill level up, but unless you have a plan nailed down you end up jumping all over the place and you get nothing done.

      Good luck!

After setting up your website you need to concentrate on link popularity. Link popularity has become increasingly important among the search engines. Because link popularity goes hand in hand with search engine optimization. So to develop popularity for your web site, consider the forllowing 5 tips:
        1) High Traffic Web Directories
        2) Write Articles
        3) Reciprocal link exchanges
4)Well Designed and Optimized Web Site
        5)Link ability Within Your Site

    Hi Poglia,

I am basically in the same situation as you. I haven't started anything, but I would like to start soon. I think the best way to start making money online is to create Adsense content websites. This is how I want to start! You basically create small websites, based on a niche topic that you've researched and build a small site of maybe 20-25 pages in length. Next you apply to Google Adsense Program and once you are accepted into the program, they will give you code that when you place it into your website, there will be displaced people's adword ads on your website. Each time someone comes to your website and clicks on one of the ads displayed, you receive a small commission! This of course depends on how many CPC (cost per click) the particular keyword pays out. Google will give you a portion of that.

Anyway, please read more on Google Adsense. I think this is an easy way to start making money online!

SimpleDeals - Google Cash was SUCH a great method back then. I havent read the updated version, but I originally used the google cash method and did well with it - until the "slap" lol.

Poglia (and several others who posted) - you have such a GREAT start already, knowing how to create websites. That is the biggest stumbling block for most!

Affiliate Marketing is actually one of the easiest things to get into - low cost upfront (domain/hosting) and plenty of potential profit. Your results on ClickBank were proof... but there are honestly better programs than info products on ClickBank (in my opinion).

I'll share two links with you - both by Jeremy Palmer, and both free training. One is an ebook and the other is a full blown course:

When Does the Course Start? How Long Does it Last?

    Affiliate Marketing Learning Center

I just met with two local ladies last week about starting an online business, and recommended Affiliate Marketing to them both. I shared that story, and the steps I outlined for them, in this blog post if you're interested:

    Starting A Free Online Business

Any questions, fire away - I'll check back in and am happy to share any resources or strategies that are working for me.

You can start a blog, write about what you like (your hobbies or your professional skills), get readers and then start write your guide. You can check out the storie of Susan( http://www.warriorforum.com/mind-war...revisited.html), the grandma who earn 12k in 5 weeks just by blogging and selling her cheap ebook. Good luck!

Most if not all of the advice that you received here is excellent! I think if you have started off in affiliate marketing and made some money it can only get better - see the good thing about your scenario is that you have already proven to yourself that it works, now with the time you have in your hands you can maximize those efforts and make double, triple the money.

I see someone suggested Adsense and although I agree its a good money making resource, its too unreliable - google, can cancel your account when they feel like it if they feel you've breeched the terms....so why rely on something unstable...

Build a site, add a product, grow a list , focus, have a plan and you will be set to go - dont just speak it and write it - but do it - action!!!!!

How did you use youtube to make your ebook sales? - tell us a little bit about that.

    • I know how you feel. At the beginning it is quite overwhelming with all the hype and info out their. You are already on the right track with your affiliate marketing efforts. What I would suggest is to learn as much as you can before you start forking out money on adwords to get traffick, etc.

Blogging is a really great tool and it is free so if your budget is not huge it is a great place to start and learn.

Since you know designing, I would suggest you to create website, add some content, do basic SEO and sell it at Sitepoint or somewhere. If you can do every step well, you can easily make $1500. If you are planning to do this, then you can follow the below steps (but not necessarily):

    1. Visit Sitepoint and see what type of websites sell
    2. Visit blogs and websites that have great design and try to come up with some good design
    3. Get a domain and a hosting (reseller) and set up a website or a blog
    4. Grab a copy of SEO related ebooks or read the archives of top seo blogs
    5. Apply the basic SEO to your website
    6. Write good content or get it written by someone
    7. Do bookmarking
    8. Once you have done all these, you should be having good statistics for your blog/website
    9. List your website/blog for sale at Sitepoint
    10. Do it all over again as many times you want

    Hope this helps

    Here's a quick start.

Offer your web design services on freelance sites and in your sig on forums. Next, learn how web hosting works and get a reseller account. Start selling hosting as an upsell to your design services. Then learn about SEO and start offering that as another added feature.

Continue to build your skills sets and before you know it you can have a full web services firm.

Just keep learning, experimenting, and most importantly never quit!
