What are those mini niche blogs for sale on WSO?

Hi everybody.

For someone who is new, I find the sales scripts and prices of those niche blogs for sale on WSO really attractive. Being a skeptical person, I noticed there are reviews, most of them on the month/year the thread was started but nothing later on.

As I myself do not have any IT/programming/software/website building knowledge, these websites for sale are really something which suit me. I am not reluctant to spend, but before anything I would really like more advices from experienced Internet Marketers like you guys.

Would you recommend a newbie to purchase one or more of such sites? If yes, I wouldn't expect to make a living out of them, so after purchasing what are somethings/more things I can do to the websites to achievement better results?

Anyone who is reading this and has bought anything similar please do your share your reviews as well!

Thanks!

My advice would be to get a domain name
A hosting account and create a simple WordPress blog by using videos on youtube or some free WordPress tutorial. Then you can start blogging on similar topics.

But if you really want to go for the ready made niche blogs

this is what I would do

    -get a domain name
    -A hosting account
and then rewrite all the blog post making the content unique
may be changing the graphics too.

It is all the same amount of effort the only advantage the already made niche blogs have is that they have done the research on the topic . But again you can get all that from PLR articles or e-books. Hope that I could help.

    Hi given,

I suggest that you start learning BEFORE you buy a website. It is hard to operate a website (even if it has already been constructed) if you don't know how to promote it.

You see, buying a website is not a guarantee for success. It is not like buying a franchise where the whole operation is managed by the franchisor. In a website, the seller will usually take his hands off the operation the moment the site has been transferred to you. So it will be useless if you don't know how to make money with it.

I am not saying that buying websites is not profitable though. It can be profitable but the only way to be sure is to know how to make it profitable to begin with if you know what I mean.

Thank you Boris and Dyk for your kind replies.

Would it be feasible the following way,

      1. Buy the ready made website
      2. Rewrite content (probably hire someone to do the research and writing)
      3. My job meanwhile, to learn about operating the website, keep it updated, learn how to drive traffic to it and monetise.

Having a ready made website will definitely save me time. If I were to learn and build a wordpress site by myself, it will probably take a few months. From understanding worldpress operation inferface to stuffs like choosing templates, plugins, edit site layout, positioning of a particular textbox etc.... not to mention self-procrastination from time to time.. If I have the interest or enjoy building websites, I may be able to do it faster, unfortunately I don't...I really wish I do though..

Its like how some people enjoy the process of lego building while some enjoys the aftermath, appreciating the finished model, taking care of it etc .. I THINK I would enjoy improving the site, creating fanpage, driving traffics basically the marketing part of IM...

Boris is right about re-branding the website by changing the images. Usually, clients that search a product are turned off by seeing the same images they had seen on the last website they've been on.

Hey Magic, thanks. Yup I most likely will. Although these sellers promised unique contents, I really doubt it.

Still hoping for someone who has bought one of such sites and made money by improvising it or anything to share!

You would be better of putting all that effort into a unique WP site. WordPress is very easy to learn.

You don't have to spend any time on design. Download a theme, click install.

    Here's a bunch of free themes: https://wordpress.org/themes/

Good paid themes are at Website Templates | WordPress Themes | ThemeForest and Envato Market

Envato will install it for you, for a small fee.

There are many great offers on WSO, but before you get into any of them, you need
to know what are your direction. If not, you are going to keep chasing every shiny object
that is offered on WSO or other sites.

Do something you like, than it won't become a chore and eventually collects digital dust. Once you
know what are your direction than choose one that you like to pursue. Get those that offer some coaching that will help you along the way.

You definitely need to get your own domain and hosting account set up and then purchase a handful of these niche sites and ultimately put some effort in and make it your own. You have to distinguish yourself from the rest of the pack or else you'll just be promoting the same sales page as thousands of others are already doing, The point I am trying to make is , you need to make it your own.
Run a Google search on re-branding and I think you'll find some useful golden nuggets in there.

I would put up a few on domains and list them on flippa.com and hopefully you'll sell them and make a profit. Those niche blogs sell anywhere from $29-$197 on flippa. Just go there and click the "just sold" section and see others doing the same and basically copy them but don't steal their sales copy rewrite it as your own. It's simple - one of two things is going to happen. It's gonna sell or it isn't. If It doesn't list relist it for just $5 and try again. I usually list for 3-5 days.

Or you can buy into a program that will save you about ten years of trying to do it all by yourself. I am all for learning, but I realize that some people are busy learning greater things.

A different option is a managed one where someone else handles all of the custom build for you and even helps develop traffic to your site which is the most important part of this whole project.

Many people have purchased a ready made site and never had any great success with it. Others have made a good deal of money from it. But in all cases, your personal effort in building up traffic is what makes the difference.

If you buy niche sites you should create at least new articles with quality content and then drive traffic to thm with Reddit, Haro, iReport from cnn and other sites you can siphon traffic from...then flip your sites later...
