[Advice Needed] Just got into Affiliate Marketing - How to Promote it and Drive Traffic?

Hello fellow warriors,

So, after tons of reading and researching I decided I should try some affiliate marketing as a means of some side income.

As it is my first affiliate website I am not interested in getting rich or anything extreme, but I would be more than happy to get some side income, even $100-$200 max per month would suffice.

I know it takes a lot of hard work and I am familiar with online marketing with SEO (I run a moderately decent-traffic blog and I am learning)

The thing is that with affiliate marketing I find it kinda difficult to promote my content and drive traffic and I would love to hear some suggestions from you.

A few info:

It's only amazon affiliate based, later on if it goes well I might look into CJ, clickbank or other but for now I want to keep it simple from one source,I don't care so much about commissions but more about learning and getting into it.

Let's say my niche is "kitchen sinks". I write reviews about all the best seller kitchen sinks from amazon with proper SEO and I also write articles about kitchen sinks in the blog section. Things like: "What to be aware before buying a kitchen sink" or "The 5 most important things to look for in a kitchen sink", etc. etc. you catch my drift, all the standard content output when you want to promote your niche website.

But then what? I find it hard to promote this kind of content. When I write reviews and content about products like kitchen sinks or whatever, where can I promote this? With my personal blog it's much easier, I write articles about business. career tips, branding etc. and there are several online groups and communities that I can contribute my vsaluable content.

There aren't online communities that like exchange ideas about products unless it's like for electronics (laptops, smartphones, etc - niches which I didn't want to get into since the competition is much harder)

So, I have a great site, good content, but how the hell can I drive some traffic to my site?

I don't want to put any money on adwords or other paid advertisement.

What would you suggest? Any ideas? is paid advertisement the only way? I am really over my budget unfortunately.

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Hey pamevolta, you could offer a free guide or report for example "20 Deadly mistakes you don't want to make when remodeling your kitchen!"This way you will be building a list of prospects and be seen as an authority. You can come up with ideas to create my researching other blogs, forums or DIY youtube videos and also more research about other products someone remodeling their kitchen would need. You can find out more about that niche by visiting an home remodeling company's website. Then in your backend(email list) you can promote relevant products they may need to make their project the best. Make sure you to link to your blog inside of you follow ups. Here's a site about more getting more reviews and selling more as an amazon affiliate onHow to get more Amazon product reviews | Up Fuel

Wish you the best of luck

Here's a 5 Step FREE TRAFFIC process ANYONE can do

    1) Figure out the longtail keywords with HIGH BUYER INTENT for the niche affiliate product you are promoting (Shortcut: Hire a VA for $25 to do this)

    2) Figure out how the longtail keywords can provide a context or theme for a short but useful book that UPSELLS your niche affiliate product (Shortcut: Hire a VA for $15 to do this)

    3) Write the book yourself or hire a writer. IMPORTANT: Make sure the book is laid out in such a way that it BUILDS DEMAND for your affiliate link.

    4) Get a MASSIVE LIST of free document upload/free book upload sites (there was a massive WF post about this recently - look it up!) and UPLOAD the book to these sites. (Shortcut: Hire a VA for $25 to do this)

    5) THE SECRET STEP: make sure you ROTATE your target keywords and turn your keywords into tags when uploading your books.

This can produce a nice steady stream of TARGETED traffic to your affiliate product link.

You're underselling your ambitions by only going to one affiliate provider, and one that only offers 4 to 8% commissions.

If you're willing to put the amount of effort in that you declare then why not get a decent return? Look into long tail buying keywords as suggested and get articles both for your own blog and article repositories linking back to your site (not for the SEO but for visitors). Build lists dedicated to that single niche and promote replated products in that niche.

A niche with few or no products is not one for sellers. A bit of competition is good as it shows that people are being successful in it.

      Best of luck.

      regards,

      Steven Lucas
