Hiya! I am doing research on creating a product and I want to pick your brain.

Who Do You Think Is An Expert In These Fields? (if you think you are, let me know!):

Traffic
Advertising
SEO
Affiliate Marketing
CPA/PPC
MMO
Email Marketing
Blogging

Pretty much anything relating to IM. I'd love to hear your thoughts on who you think is an expert in these fields.

Thanks!

Definitely Rob Fore for SEO, he is king when it comes to search engine optimization.
    Mat Wolfe for blogging.
Not too sure about the others but I would say Rob And Mat are at the top of their game.

That's great to know. I think people who are just starting in IM would find it helpful to have an event with a multitude of experts in order to get the information they need

I would agree with what DRP said - there are a LOT of this type of event already around, I've attended about 100 in person myself over the years and I know that many of them have struggled to make money and the ones that do well have taken a lot of time, money and effort to get to that point.

I'm not saying you shouldn't do it - afterall, more information to help people cut through the noise and get real expert information has to be a good thing, but just be aware that there are already a lot of them and you could probably learn some really valuable lessons by understanding what's working (and not working) for others who do this or have tried.

I don't want to tell you how/what to do but would advise you to learn from others and have as much context for leveraging the efforts you make so that you stand the best chance of creating something successful that you can repeat in future.

        Regards,
        Andy

Chris Hughes. He was the cofounder of Facebook and also was the marketing genius behind Barack Obama's first campaign.

He managed to raise something like $30-$50million dollars from 1 email campaign, and also took someone from being realtively 'unknown' to become president of the United States..

OP, you'd be competing with Affiliate Summit and the now discontinued Underground Online Seminar. These kinds of events cost a lot of money for the organizers...and the participants (noobs & "experts"). I wouldn't recommend unless you have your stuff together and capital at your disposal.

Having been to many of these events, they're always hyped up pitch-fests and short of actual substance...but the noobs love it. Suckers love Casinos too.

It would be nice to have some information provided with the names being listed to help qualify them. At least list the website(s) they operate so readers of the thread can verify how big they are.

Am I the only one who finds it strange that almost all of the names mentioned here are involved in MMO niches of some sort? OK, that's partly understandable since people who teach this stuff are by definition in MMO niches. But I'd argue that the real experts -- the doers, not the teachers -- aren't these MMO guys (mostly guys anyway), but the thousands of people working for real companies selling real products and real services. These are probably people you can't name (I can't!) but my guess is that when it comes to things like traffic, advertising, and SEO they can run rings around just about any of the "famous" MMO "experts" mentioned here.

I also include Matt Furey who is HUGE in the Fitness and Weight loss niche ( and MMO too but did that later on) as one of the top Email Marketers I closely watch

I know how to do the SEO, Blogging. In these way both site traffic & page rank will be increased. If one do the Do-follow link, it will increase both. On the other hand the No-follow link will increase only the site traffic.
