Tips for making in-house videos for your business?

Do you guys make in-house content marketing videos for your business instead of hiring a professional? If so, what are some resources you've consulted to learn things about choosing equipment, achieving crisp audio quality, good lighting, etc.?

    JamieFriedlander,

You can get pretty HQ video from just a smart phone and a tripod these days. The things people miss often are the lighting and audio. A well placed window with natural light can help with the lighting if you don't want to go all out, but for audio, I would use a Zoom Recorder (H1 is usually sufficient for stuff like this). It will keep the audio crisp and clear.

Are you looking for "model shots" kind of equipment? A simple backdrop, a lamp (or lava lamp), and a high quality camera or even camcorder can do this for you. Just be creative, and make sure it markets your product(s) effectively.
