So Im currently in the lead generation business and im thinking of creating a new program for referrals and id like you guys to tell me what you think and give me some feedback. Im going to be creating a website were people can enter leads. the thing is im going to pay a fixed rate per lead submitted to me to whoever enters the lead once I verify that its valid.

for example- A high school kid goes over to his friends house after school every day. the kid always hears his friends parents complaining about how their air conditioner is out. they haven't fixed it yet because they don't know how to go about finding a hvac tech. That kid can enter his friends parents info into the webform and receive a payment once the lead is verified. There will be different payouts for different industries but will cover all the competitive industries that pay a good amount per lead. home improvement, solar, hvac, home security, ect. soooooo Good idea or Bad idea??

That is not an opt-in, as the people who's information was entered never entered it. If you just go around signing people up to things without their consent you are asking for trouble.

The only way that would work is if the interested party asked the kid to sign them up.

That makes sense. All I'm looking for is there name number and address. Imagine your ac just goes out then all of a sudden you get a call from a ac repairman because someone entered online that's your in need. It would be the perfect opportunity. What I'm trying to offer is an incentive for people throw leads my way. Because everyone knows at least 1 person in need of something. Can you think of anyone that could use, a lawyer, needs there house sold, wants a new car, needs something repaired, needs there teeth cleaned. Could use lower electric bills? Almost everyone knows someone that could benefit from one of those services witch means everyone should be able to enter a couple leads and get payed. They just need an incentive to keep there ears open and be hyper vigilant of people around them expressing need for something.

What you are looking for is a referral, rather than an opt-in and I guess you would contact the person saying X person said that you were in need of Y...

The problem is, oftentimes people hate being contacted by companies, even when they need them. They'd rather go out and find a company they want to work with.

I think it could work if you have the person who is giving you a referral tell the person that needs the service, that they are going to have someone call you. That was it will be an actual referral and people won't be annoyed with you calling them

Of course, eveyone can give you an opinon or educated guess. But the only way to tell if it will work is to test it.

Sure, you may get people who are annoyed, hang up on you, or throw your offer in the trash. And ...?

If you're a marketer that's nothing new, right? 95% (if we're good) or more ignore, say no, or throw our stuff in the trash? If 2% to 5% don't, you're golden.

The "bottom line number" you get will tell you better than anyone here can. Just make sure you're not breaking any laws. From what you've revealed in your post I don't see any.
