I am setting up my email for my main account and cant seem to add more email accounts for it.

And when setting up other accounts for some other domains, when I go to upload there are other files different then if I would just get from a shared account. what is up with those?

    Jeremy,

From your main account hosting cpanel choose the following option

Email Management Tools ::Add / Remove E-mail account(s)

Set up your email accounts there for your main hosting account.

Each seperate domain name gets it's own little seperate hosting account.
You control these through the webhost manager section from the main hosting account.

I hope that makes some kind of sense.

        Hey Jeremy,
What message are you getting? I didn't think hostgator limited the number of accounts you can have as long as you stay within your bandwithe! I've set-up loads on my reseller account so far and had no problem.

Ok Jeremy, I am kinda confused as to how you are doing it or not understanding. So, sorry if you already are doing this.
So, I will try to use steps normally taken.
          1. Log into your account. Your Cpanel will show.(this is just for your email only)
2.click on "Mail" and not "webmail".
          3.Click on "add/remove/manage accounts"
          4. at bottom click on "add acount"
You should be able to make as many email accounts for your site as you need.

          As for adding other websites.
1.You need to go back to your cpanel and go to bottom and click on "Web Host Manager" .
          2. Look for "Account Functions" in left side menu and click on "Create a new account"
          3. Then you do several things like add a "package"--hosting size etc. like basic, premium, etc.
          4. Now you have a new cpanel for the new site.
          5. Then just add mail accounts for that site using the first 4 steps at top here.

Hope that helps, but that may not be what you are talking about.

Try live chat with a HostGator support employee. Probably be faster.

Yep, that looks like a support issue you have there. Just out of curiosity, look at the menu on left side of cpanel and see if it list Email=unlimited. That is what is normally there.

If you log into the WHM for your reseller account and click on "List Accounts" what does it show for "quote" and "disk used" for that site?

I had this same problem when I first started with my reseller account. I can't remember exactly what I was doing wrong, but I think it had to do with one of the following:

-not setting proper disk space for my site
                -not changing my nameservers

                  Hi,

I'm guessing, but it does sound like you haven't allocated enough space.

You should have set up a 'package' first thing, and by doing this you are telling WHM the default settings for each new account you put on there (inside that package).

                      Jeremy,

What you have to do is UPgrade the new account you set-up.

                      What I do is

                      1. create a package (allocate enough space ..ex. 250mgs disk...2500mgs band)
                      2. add a new account (assign the package to that acct.)
                      3. UPgrade the new acct.

Make sure that when creating a new package that it says 'unlimited' next to max email lists.

Then go into the cpanel for that acct. and add a new email acct.

The quota for email space is taken from the amount of diskspace that you've allocated.

                      That should fix it.

                      Shon

                          Okay,

Create a new package and then UPgrade it to the actual reseller acct.

When you upgrade the package you should be able to 'highlight' the
                          acct. you're upgrading to.

Click upgrade/downgrade on the navigation....you'll see your reseller acct. and additional accts.
highlight your reseller account...click modify at the bottom.

Go to the cpanel for your reseller acct. & add the additional email accts.

                          Shon C.
