If You Have ZERO Sales - This Is Why

Your visitors are UNTARGETED.

Think about who would buy your product or the product you are promoting and THEN -

FIND THAT PERSON/S and promote your site where they are.

This is ESSENTIAL if you want sales.

Link the PRODUCT with the BUYER looking for the product and you will make sales.

And how do you know who your audience is?

Use Quantcast.com or Alexa.com for your site (if possible) and look at the demographics. This is who you should be targeting.

If you don't have a lot of traffic, find the authority site in your niche and use that as a guideline.

        It's pretty straight forward...

        Traffic x Conversion = Sales

That simple little formula accounts for...
        • Traffic Quality
        • Offer Quality
        • Everything in between
Put a killer offer in front of enough untargeted traffic and you'll make some sales.

Put a crappy offer in front of enough targeted traffic and you'll make some sales.

Put the right offer in front of enough of the right people and you'll make lots of sales.

If you're unhappy with your level of sales, you need to adjust your traffic sources, your offer, or both.

Depends on your business model. For some of my sites getting their revenue from Adsense clicks, I WANT traffic that's not quite targeted enough. See what I mean?

Good comment - However, aren't you likely to get more money for a click that is 100% targeted?

That's how Google works doesn't it?

The other issue is that the internet is a jungle. People are looking for specifics.

When I'm searching for something it really annoys the hell out of me to got to a site that says buy X and then I find out it has nothing to do with X needless to say im out of there in 2seconds.

Also people hang out in flocks - like WF. Therefore you have to take the mountain to your prospects!

Could be a million reasons why not just untargeted visitors... Sometime untargeted visitors can become some of your greatest customers.

    * Sales copy could suck
    * Price could be too high
    * You could be using way to much hype
    * You might be on a blacklisted host
    * Maybe your popups are annoying
    * Maybe you site design sucks
    * Maybe your server is too slow
    * Maybe your site looks like a Internet Marketers site
    * Maybe you spend way too much time on a forum
    * Maybe you listen to bad advice
    * Maybe you did not take any action

This list could go on and on... This is the reason why you "Take Action and Test"..

PPC or any other paid advertising source.

The reason I am majorly successful with ebay marketing is b/c thorugh ebay, I understood the basic concpet of targeted traffic + targeted offer = insane dollars (unlimited).

Ebay's service is not the auction itself, it's the targeted traffic you REALLY pay for! this was an eye opener, and helped me get over my fear of advertising on PPC because I KNOW, that although I'm not seeing any money initially paying for traffic, as long as the traffic is TARGETED, you will ALWAYS make more money than you spend on almost any click you pay for.

      Yes

      - Webmaster fourms
      - Webmaster designer forums
      - Photoshop Forums
      - Internet Marketing Forums
      - Blogs based on all the topics above

You have a lot of sites there to drive traffic to.

Better off trying with one first - concentrate on that first and then do the others otherwise you may get overwhelmed.

I switched my link building tactics about a month ago to ONLY target product names (all of the products on my reviews sites). Too soon to report results, but I'm starting to rank for those specific product names.

I gotta believe that my overall traffic will go down, but conversions should increase dramatically.
