Best plugin to manage ads?

INTERNET MARKETING

Hi there. I'm a newbie so bear with me.

About to start running affiliate ads, as well as selling ad-space on a wordpress site. What are the best WordPress plugins for this, and why? Here's what I need:

- lets me control WHERE the ads go on the site (without the layout/ placement settings being global)

- lets me track with analytics and creates easy to understand reports
- pretty easy to implement
- has all the bells and whistles without being over the top and expensive for no reason
- has great support

I'm looking at WPAdCenter and WP PRO Advertising System at this point, but open to others.

note this is NOT for managing affiliates, just ads.

I should agree about OIO. There's other alternatives such as AdRotate and it's free.

  Hey Natalie, I see this thread is from 2015. How have things worked out since?
  
  I'm about to implement AdRotate for my product review website. It is easy to implement and has basic click/impression tracking and allows for scheduling ads. The PRO version allows for advertiser/client-side management and Google Analytics event tracking. Not sure how robust the reporting features are but generating reports with GA should suffice.
  
  If you have experience with advertising from the publisher side, please share general tips or best practices for running ads. I'm currently planning out how I will track and report metrics for my advertisers on campaign performance. Also trying to establish naming conventions for ads/ad groups so the tracking is consistent.
