Advice needed for Amazon Affiliate revie which niche would you put money into based on domain name?

Say I want to make an Amazon site about sell handbags and say I identified that Laptop bags are a great market and I got the domain name LaptopBagsHQ.com
BUT
In searching for domain names I also got the name HandbagShop.net , which is .net but a good name (I think)

So I am putting both sites together and want to buy articles. But I can only afford to buy articles for 1 site.
Which one would you build up for the long term?
A small niche like just laptopbags but would be easier to rank, or a bigger niche like HandbagShop.net which has more to write about but also more to sell.
But if I just stick to only Laptopbags then maybe Ill make sales faster? I dont know

what do you think?

note - domain names were changed to protect the innocent lol

Neither of those names are great but are typical of 'keyword' rich domains. Nothing really wrong with them either.

There are hundreds of names you can make like this: LaptopBagsBV, LaptopBagsLT (or any other trailing letters), HandbagStore, HandbagKiosk, HandbagCentral (or any other add-on word).

You will get a (very) slight SEO boost from keywords in the domain but the content and backlinks will have more impact than the domain name.

It really depends on your marketing strategy. Are these set-and-forget niche sites or do you plan on building authority sites?

These domains are not really memorable and brandable.

With names like "shop" the domain sounds like a store. But for product type searches, Google usually prefers ecommerce sites in the SERPs over affiliate sites. (keyword research will tell you for sure what type of sites Google is ranking for your keywords)

More than just the domain names, you need to know what keywords you plan on targeting and what SERPs competition you face.

Saying "A small niche like just laptopbags but would be easier to rank..." is not necessarily so unless you have done the keyword research to back up this idea.

Compared to all the other factors, the impact of these domain names on Google ranking is likely negligible.

  • Have you looked into PLRs? You can sometimes get a pack of PLR articles cheaper than what you would pay on fiverr or one of the other sites and turn those into articles.

In my opinion just by looking at the two domain names I think Handbagshop.net will do well for the long run because it is broader than the long tail keyword which is the second domain name.

It's always like that isn't it?, here is what I will do, research both domain if any have some SEO benefits (backlinks-stuff like that)
The one with the most.. advantage I will run with it. If still considering only both I will go for the long tail if there is any longtail keyword in my niche bucket that is an exact match.

I guess that is where your thinking of
sticking to only Laptopbags with the hope of making a sale faster came from. But that will all depend on your research.
-Is it a Long Tail keyword in that niche?
-How old is the domain name
-are there Good backlinks to the domain
-Have you checked the domain on https://www.archive.org to see what content -it had, assuming it is an old domain.
You have to do the research give more details to get exactly what you want. That is what I think ..Hope that was helpful
