Hello everyone,

I am currently an eBay seller considering a new venture.

I am intrigued by building authority sites/ content farming because it allows a lot of flexibility.

I have considered this move before, but was put off by the significant initial time investment it requires.

So, my question is, is authority site building/ content farming still a viable long term strategy for making money online?

Is so, can anybody suggest the initial reading I should begin with?

Thanks everyone.

    Hey there,

Yes. Building high authority sites is definitely a viable option.

But to do it is a lot different than what most people talk about.

You need to first build a community of people in that specific niche. Then that's when you bring your community over to your site by promoting &I telling your community about your site.

It's not as simple as just put content on it and people will come.. Yes that'll work if you put A LOT of time and energy into it, but how do you build a community?

It starts with a list. Build a landing page to capture leads and give them a free product in order to incentivize them to subscribe to your list.

Then direct traffic to that landing page with (the 2 most effective ways in my opinion)

    - Solo ads
    - Forum marketing

Just keep pumping out valuable content about your niche. And once you've built a substantial list build a social media page about your much (Facebook/Twitter page, etc.)

This is important as it takes them from just being in your list and allows them to connect with each other.

Once you've built your list & your pages and built a sizable community (meanwhile you're pumping out consistent valuable content) Promote your website to them! Drive visitors to the site and repeat the process until you have a huge community that builds off itself.

People will start linking to you creating backlinks which really helps SEO and you'll be seen as an expert in that niche.

    Hope this helps

    Adam
