How do you think of the foreign trade?

I have been do business for twenty years,but as you know that the economy situation is not very well .So I want to do foreign trade and I want to do the jewelry business,because my two friends are doing this. But I don't have experience in it,and don't know how is the foreground of foreign tradeitso . Anyone who has the same idea or Have done foreign trade, hope you can give me advice？

    I have been doing business with foreigner for a long time. I am an importer since 2011. Currently I found there are many people who doing this kind of business. But there is no one who who tell me his business is well. Every one is in problem. So no business is good today. Thanks.

    Are you American? I prefer to support American companies myself, but everyone has their own business model and what works for them. If your friends are selling jewelry, why not ask them and get a trusted perspective?

    I sell my own jewelry, but mainly to local boutiques that buy wholesale for their own label. What type of jewelry are you wanting to sell? If it's cheap costume jewelry from China, everyone including the Dollar Store is doing that so, I'm not sure how successful you'll be. However, if you sell original, handcrafted high-end pieces, you'll have higher profits and more media buzz.
