Need advice on investing in this business...

So a guy from WF approached me saying he needs $30 to get his SEO business site online to start making sales, he says he'll give me 50/50 of his business for the $30....

Is this too good to be true?

  • I don't think anyone can build a site in just $30 until he has free hosting plan. How will you share 50/50? Any specification for that or its all about trust?

LOL, if he can't come up with $30 to get his business off the ground I would estimate he has a 0% chance at achieving sustainable success.

My friend, I wouldn't suggest you take him up on that offer,
First its going to take more than $30 to get an official
business off the ground. And 2 like stated before if he
can't come up with $30 himself to fund his business then
that will be an red flag.

    All the best

Oh man, I almost want to say do the deal because the lesson you'll learn for the $30 you'll lose will be well worth it.

      How - by PM?

      50% of nothing is...nothing....

Do you truly believe someone who can't find $30 is going to be a profitable business partner for you? If so, I have some bridges to sell you....

personally i believe i can make him a success, i just want to know is he going to do the work and be committed, but heres his name

    Daniel Molapo

his name on here is kingleo101

He tried to get funding in june, he said none of those deals went through, now hes begging me for a chance, he needs the money to get his site up and running, http://www.digitalfusionseo.com, i told him his site already exists, he said they are not unique or special, i said no they are legit companies.. he basically wants to do an arbitrage business of hiring freelance seo guys and selling them as his own.. shit i might do that...

personally, when he said send to my paypal, some red flags went off..

And yeah i told him im getting a contract from you signed, he said sure

my gut tells me to do it, my gut never tells me to do anything, this one time it says do it

Do it then, it could be the best $30 you've ever lost.

I've been meaning to ask you if I can borrow $50 for this new venture I'm launching. You'll get half of my profits for life!

PS. A signed contact over $30? What are you going to do with it? Just curious about the term of this contract and how you plan to enforce it.

CJ, honey, a contract isn't worth the paper it's printed on if one party doesn't follow it. I mean, whadda' ya' gonna' do? Take him to court? Where, down the street? In Hong Kong? Where is he gonna' take you to court when you start throwing his name and biz around without permission? Oops, you already did that. Fortunately, you didn't say anything nasty.

Say he does make some dough, real dough. Fine, he can bankrupt the (at this point non-existent) company and start over again under a new name. Of course, as a 50-50 partner, so can you. BTW, who is responsible for the acceptance and distribution of the funds. Legally responsible? And for paying taxes and doing filings as necessary?

Who's going to pay for the contract to be properly written by a business attorney? You? That's not something you do down the road, it's a task that is performed FIRST. And like I said, a contract is no better than the people who sign it.

No, it's too bad to be true.

Haha! That's his hustle. He probably made that offer to many WF members. If he ask enough people, a few are bound to give it to him. After all, what's $30 for a chance at 50% profit?

Sometimes I can't believe the stuff I see on this board.

By all means, give him the $30 to start his empire.

    Good God.

He probably approached a hundred people with his little scheme and will make a cool $3000 before he moves on to the next scheme. Besides, how would you know how much he's making to know if you're getting a 50/50 split? And how will he split 50/50 with a hundred people? Think about it.

It's not true, $30 only can spend for my hosting package for 1 month and you can not do anything with this amount.

Nowadays the $30 is really very small amount. I am not sure how a SEO business can start by $30+ $30= $60. There are many free domain & hosting is available, but the free version is not good for a log time business. How much profit will be earned by investing $60? So it is not a good job, I think.

I've donated to people with a "sob story"...they didn't even bother to say "Thank you."

Treat things like this as a scam. If you want to donate, with the expectation of nothing in return, not even an acknowledgment, then go ahead. It might be good karma.

Better to invest the $30 in yourself, though.
