Warriors Google is Watching...

Warriors

Because of the work I do I have been for the last week happen to be in the Google office here in Sydney for various meetings.
Durring one of the meetings I had a 5 min discussion with some of the management who informed me that they have for the last 6-7 years have been looking at a particular site called the WF.

Now what made it more interesting was that Google in whole has been aware of the WF for a lot longer in the US, and they have purchased WSOs to see how they are gaming the system so they can plug the holes.

And that some of the changes to the way Google runs their business was because of the information they have found on the WF, so in a way we the members have responsible for the way in which changes its way on how YouTube is done by views now and not likes as before and that the death of article marketing happen the same way because of the link baiting .

Also the Google algorithms and updates I.E. panda and penguin, so in a way warriors have been so successful in the businesses that has bought on their own downfall to that niche they had been making the money.

So maybe next time you have been raking it in via Google best keep to yourself

Very interesting. At first I thought this may have been a joke.
I mean really. Google getting valuable insight from some of the lunatics running around here lol

But then it hit me... there was a time in the past when there was a large group of intelligent people who actually frequented here.

      I know hard to believe

Hey maybe this is a good thing for us today. Kind of reverse psychology. Now Google is trying to glean input from today's Warrior member who s full of quackery and nonsense.

So it will throw the Big G off the correct scent

That is impressive!!! That Google would consider WF to aid their efforts of online policing.

    Thanks for that heads up.

I suspect one of the biggest examples of this was the large number of mentions of the (eventually) penalized MBG platform on WF

With that said, I'm sure, Big G listens in to TOP forums in general.

For example, its crackdown on SAPE links was in direct response to blatant SAPE services being advertised at another marketing forum.

Big G keeps a wide net.

If you have a system that works that goes against Google's Alice in Wonderland view regarding how links should work, it's best to keep it to yourself.

    Very interesting for sure.

I've never participated in any grey or blackhat SEO techniques but kudos to Google for being on top of things.

so in a way warriors have been so successful in the businesses that has bought on their own downfall to that niche they had been making the money
I still don't understand people that rely heavily on Google to send them traffic. It's one of the only traffic sources we have no control over whatsoever, and people build their entire businesses around it.. doesn't make sense to me.

If you look at most of the products sold either book or video and even software you will notice most times its about Google or Bing as in first page listing, or that they try to in some way.
Most newbies only here that they must get to the first page nothing else matters or so most blurbs mention.

I couldn't agree more. These days it never even crosses my mind to worry about what Google thinks or how they will index my site. The only thing I do in regard to search engines is maybe make sure things like download pages are "no-index," etc.

I build my sites for a good "user experience" and leave it at that. If I need targeted traffic I buy it and get it going immediately. None of this, "Let's SEO the crap outta this site and hope we get traffic in 6-months."

Life's too short to worry about SEO.

Yip it's a fact that Google has had "spies" in most/all of the major forums, especially the ones with big selling platforms and who employ nefarious tactics to game google...

You can attribute the downfall of content/link farms and article directories directly to what Google was able to discover on said forum's...

If memory serves there was a thread that covered this topic on BHW soon after the Panda and Penguin updates...

I agree, if you've found your "honey hole" don't let the whole world know or try and sell it for $7 a pop, keep it to yourself or watch it disappear.....

I think any large influential business does this. It doesn't surprise or shock me in any way.

I doubt it will stop anybody from revealing any loopholes they find and selling said loopholes for profit.

Warriors and other IMers know that when there is a loophole it's only a matter of time before Google finds it and closes it. IMO that gives even more motivation to capitalize on it and sell it as fast and as much as possible and profit off it before it's gone.

Maybe that's a dumb thing to do. Maybe the best thing to do would be to keep it to themselves, but that's not human nature. Human nature is to go for the quick buck fast and hard, and we all know it'll never change.

Personally, I could care less if Google comes in here and spies. One thing people forget is Google doesn't own the Internet, as much as they like to think they do. I depend on Google as little as possible in my business. That way I don't have to worry when they rear their greedy hand back and slap the little guy all the time.

Please educate me on what I have missed.

I tell you what go do a Search and post back the link and Thread here where it talks about how Google employees have been purposeful buying WSO products to get insight into their business.
( i have even bolded it so to make it easier for you lol)

Since it is so rampantly open and already been discussed "many many times" as you state here, it shouldn't take you long.

I will be waiting for you to post that

Damn, learn something new everyday here at WF lol

IMO Google is the company that will continue to grow by swallowing up the competition (so to speak) and they will conitnue to do this by hiring the best and brightest, and that includes people with a keen business sense i.e. entreprenurs with experience in IM and have a knwoledge of what has been going on in the Warrior Forum as well as other IM hotspots.

I think blackhat world is just a little ahead. And everyone there already know google frequent these sites. Matt Cutts even mentioned Wiz in several videos. So year they are keeping tabs. But its all good if you role with the punches.

You sure they didn't mean **********? I guarantee there's more money (or used to be, forums are dead ;/) flowing through ********** than has ever seen Warrior member's bank accounts. Haha, censoring the competition's name. Childish, WF.

Anyway, there's a wicked type of fire burning somewhere on the internet that's a lot better for figuring out what's being used to game various systems -- not the WSO section.

I'm with discrat. It's pretty amusing if they're trying to base algorithms on the lack of SEO tactics actually being thrown around lately.

No BIG deal - it is something all smart companies employ, it is called "Competitive Intelligence" as described in Wikipedia:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Competitive_intelligence

If you owned the Big G you would do the same. Think about it, for a few bucks (usually starting at $7 or sometimes less) they can stay on top of the latest schemes to 'game' their system and probably shut them down within a matter of minutes. How is that for ROI?

Wish Google would take fraud seriously. I've offered to fly to their HQ and discuss a major scam taking place on Adwords but they are not interested. Clearly if a company spends enough they don't care about anyone breaking their terms of service.

    Hi RW:

Basically, you are a smart man. I remember that back in the bad old days, I would give out free images. All I asked was that people would get me credit and link back to me. Well, that was OK in the 90's, but mean Google decided to penalize me. I mean what a nasty crappy company. They took my PR5 down to pr zero. According to them they were closing a loop hole for link spamming. Don't know if I should laugh or cry.

I'm not worried about Google. Their engineers already knew about the techniques direct marketers use to rank whatever in Google. In a small ugly niche... it wouldn't matter. Little-to-no competition.

Google is watching serps and rank factors. Yeah, that´s one of their main job, working on its search engine to make it better and more accurate. it make sense to me

Back in the old days, there was another WF forum that brought way more loops and wholes to exploit from that this one...maybe you just misunderstood it too

That's why I never open up about any loopholes I'm exploiting (and I've exploited several).

And neither does Neil Patel. Everyone thinks he is an open book about his experiments, but I've caught him doing one exploit that I was also doing at the same time - never a word about it on his sites - but that exploit is golden.

They are looking at all of the forums like this. They are looking at the various blackhat forums as well you can bet that.

Warrior forum is a great place for G to look because it actually provides great content. It does not want to work against Google or find a loophole in their algorithm like some blackahatters.

it only makes sense. If someone lists a way to get brand new content ranked on goog page 1 in minutes, naturally the company wants to know how someone can do this. Their job is to provide valuable and accurate search results, so if all that showed up on top were spammy or virus-laden pages, no one would want to use google anymore. Every company that wants to stay in business has to stay on top of not only trends in the field, but of anyone trying to find ways to trick the system.
