What to you think of trying to find potential business co-workers in Job Centres?

I was having a conversation with someone recently with reference to trying to find co-workers. I made a comment about maybe looking at trying to find people through, or in, Job centres. (My spelling of "centre" may be an indication that I am referring to UK venues - I am not sure what they have in the USA). I am not exactly sure how I would do this but I was hoping they would maybe have some kind of notice boards there.

I was quite taken aback by the suggestion that the people at these places would be poor choices. That they would likely all be incompetent due to them being currently unemployed. I am highly sceptical of this viewpoint. In fact I consider it quite ridiculous and ill conceived. I would imagine that there would be many people who would like to get out of the rut that they are in. Having to go to Job Centres or having any association with them is unpleasant. All people have value of some kind - some people are diamonds in the rough.

What do you think of this subject?

So you're basically trying to target people who would OUTSOURCE their jobs to you?

    Did I get that right?

This is already happening with SEO directors/SEO consultants and inhouse marketing heads.

No - just with reference to finding co-workers to develop and market website projects. In other words, it is better to do something productive than to sit around living off benefits. Some of those people may even be working on things already. Maybe they have the intention of being self employed as opposed to working in a job.

No not that (if I understand you correctly).
