Traffic but no conversions :(

Off late I have been experimenting with a PPC strategy for affiliate marketing.

I am trying to promote a Clickbank affiliate product by putting up a review on my webpage (In fact I have created a new web page to promote the product)

I am using facebook and bing ads campaign for getting the traffic to my page with the affiliate product link
I have been running the campaign since last 10 days.

I see that I am receiving lot of clicks. I believe I am also targeting the right audience (Tier I countries) and the right keywords.

However, I am not getting any conversions. No sales happening

I need to figure out what is the right thing to do so that I get sales out of it.
Warriors please advice what should I do?

According to me, you should do the SEO to increase your site traffic & page rank. Though it is a slow process, but you will get the best result. You need to do both Offpage & Onpage SEO to get a good result. Such as One Freelancer will be able to generate 1000 traffic to your site by anyway, but it does not mean that it will convert to sale. It if you can get this click by7 doing SEO, I am sure your sales will be increased automatically. Thanks a lot.

It's a good thing you consulted with yourself on this first...

    Vikram Anand,

So you're selling a self-help book in the wealth generation industry as an affiliate ...

    Hmmm ...

Is your expertise in this industry?

And, you're driving PPC traffic to a landing page with a direct link to your affiliate product ...

    Hmmm ...

Don't you want to convert your traffic into your own leads first before you send them to any affiliate offer not just once but rather as long as they're your leads?

There are 3 main factors that are affecting your conversions. These are:

    1. Product
    2. Copy
    3. Traffic Source

Test out each of those things, and you can determine the cause/s of your problem However:

If I were you, I'd do the following:

    1. If my expertise is in the wealth generation industry (it isn't, since my expertise is in the tech industry), then I'd focus on helping people with stock market trading and other types of investments;

    2. I'd find partner call centers in the languages that I'll be targeting, specifically call centers that sell quality stock market trading products and subscription services. I'd then propose an arrangement where I'll drive traffic to them as calls, in order for me to earn commissions for each call that they convert into sales;

    3. I'd create a free iOS and Android app as a lead magnet, which can provide my traffic with quick and convenient functions for checking the latest stock market data and for contacting my partner call centers for free consultations and support services;

    4. I'd create a site with authority content about the hottest stock market trading news, investment trends, etc., along with helpful guides, tutorials and so on. Landing page will promote my free app; and

    5. I'd drive in-app mobile PPC / PPI / PPM traffic to my app as well as search & display / video / social media PPC / PPM / PPV traffic to both my app and my site ...

    Hope this helps ...

      Dear Michael Fuentes,

Thanks a ton for valuable insights and sharing that wealth of experience!

Although I dont have that much of technical expertise to implement all that you mentioned, but will try to get some of your suggestions outsourced.

Well your page looks like it was built in 2003 and the product is aimed at helping people become millionaires.

But who is the author? Vikram somebody? Never heard of him. Not sure anyone would buy this. Maybe if it was written by a known millionaire you'd have a shot.

You haven't really provided a "review" here. More of a lame attempt at hype.

You say, for example, that this program really works. Yet you provide no actual results, yours or anyone else's.

There's no flow to it. It's choppy.

As Brad pointed out, the page looks like one of those 2003 fake news pages. The only thing missing is the geo-targeted headline.

Couple that with the naked affiliate link in the "download now" button, and it screams "I just want to make money from you, I have no idea if this thing is any good or not."

Which brings up the question - have you actually seen the product itself, or did you just grab some stuff from the sales page?

Dude - your site design sucks. It looks untrustworthy as hell.

You have no margins on the left or right side of the text.

        That's a big no no.

        And like Brad said...

Thanks a ton to all for sparing your time to help me understand where I am going wrong.

I understand that I have many things to fix before even thinking of conversions... Sure will go ahead with that.

    First thing I see.

    1. Way too much text and in such a way that I not want to read it. Looks like an endless page.
    2. No call to action button before the fault line.

Just 2 small things, which I would change and might help you.

    Hey there!

The way that your trying to go about selling products is extremely tough.. Basically they don't know you at all and the average conversion for a person that doesn't have an established connection with you is roughly 1/100.

If that person does have a previous relationship with you it's 1/10!

So try building a relationship with them!

    How to do this?

Try building a squeeze page and give them a free product for opting-in. Then provide valuable content through a followup series with and email autoresponder such as Aweber. Then at the end of the roughly week-long followup series send them a link to checkout your review of the product you are trying to promote.

That should boost up the conversion drastically!

    Hope this helps

    Adam

Generate leads instead of just driving them to your pre-sell affiliate page. You'll see much better results with this route. In fact, send them straight to the link in your sig, and sell them on your affiliate offer via email marketing/autoresponder.

    And like Brad said...

Your cutesy 2003 graphics are NOT adding value.

    Second...

    You need an actual headline.

This headline needs to telegraph an actual benefit and be laser targeted fixing to the PAIN or PROBLEM your prospect is experiencing about this area.

    Either that or...

It's needs to be EXTREMELY benefit driven.

Seriously. Look up headline swipe files and templates and put an actual, honest to goodness REAL headline on that page. Write out at least 20 to 30 before you pick one.

    You want it to convert?

    Put in the work.

You might as well be setting your cash on fire.

    Then dude...

    Break up your copy.

Add BOLDED SUBHEADLINES to split it up.

Format it so it looks sexy.

    BULLET POINTS.

    Make it easy to read.

Go look at articles on AUTHORITY WEBSITES and model their style.

I bet you your bounce rate is sky high.

Well if you aren't getting any sort of conversion then it might be that the offer you are promoting is not a high converting offer. If it is, then you are probably just going after the wrong types of traffic. I'm not sure what your offer is but obviously something is screwed up with the system.

It's either the offer or the traffic that you are sending to the offer.

Yes I checked that out. It is one of reasonably high converting offer on Clickbank. The gravity of this product is quite high. In fact I have myself downloaded this product and tried out. It is indeed value for money. That gives me the confidence to do its promotion.
Now I only need to work on the design of my page to make it attractive for conversions

Did you check out the salespage? There are some clickbank product salespages that look crappy hence no conversions. I suggest send traffic to a review page of the product first or offer some free product related to the product then you can capture emails and send them through your sales funnel. That is the best way to convert Clickbank products.

TBH the site design SCREAMS affiliate website. The layout and the theme make it look really..old. Perhaps you can add a slider? a youtube video? (doesnt have to be yours or it can be using fiverr but that costs money). a better background? maybe embed a useful tool and a couple of other articles? you know make the user feel safe on your site

Yes you are right...Thanks for your valuable suggestions. I have started working out on that.
Once the design is ready, may be I will put up for review to know that now I am good to go for its promotion.

I love fishing metaphors, so here goes.

What do you do if you're fishing in a lake... But you don't get any bites?

Well, there's two situations, and two solutions...

    Situation # 1

If there are fish in the lake - and they are not biting... Then you change your bait.

    Situation # 2

Or - if there are NO fish in the lake - you need to find a new location to fish.

(You could also put additional lines in the water in order to increase your odds).

That's honestly all you need to know, and priceless advice.

    Talk later
