Forming a US company (LLC) with a foreign partner

My partner and I are in the process of forming our company. We will soon register our company here in the US. My partner is in the Philippines. We're both managing partners (co-owners) to our LLC.

Has anyone here formed a company with the same setup? How did you set the company up with the other partner based in another country? How did you setup the Taxation structure?

Please include any other relevant info.

Thanks!

All you need to do is go on your states Div of Coporations website and start their application. This is where you decide ownership and split shares. Every state is a bit different but you can always call your state office if you have questions. I wouldn't recommend a lawyer unless you are both non-native but even then it is still very straight forward.

The important thing is paying for all the documentation every year and not missing any state-federal taxe deadlines.
