You need to first change your perspective....

You run after shiny object syndrome and then blame the people

Can you seriously say ,,,You took any action except switching from products to productss

Did you stick around to single one....

I dont think so

There is so much quality around ,Trust me there is more good than BAD

I have some practical advice for you bud... it goes like this.

Don't start out in the IM niche, that's like jumping into the Pacific Ocean before you even learn how to swim.

I know you probably don't want to hear this, but think about it THIS way.

Would you rather start off (and I do mean just when you start, as you are still learning) ...would you rather make like maybe $100 a week or lose $100 a month?

Now this is assuming you are buying WSO's and possibly paying for traffic and such.

Personally I'd want to start off making pocket change and that way you are making money as you continue to learn. Remember, you are not confined to just one single niche, you can branch out into as many as you please!

There's no way you could have been scammed by every method. While I will admit that some of the products in the internet marketing sector suck, there are a number of legitimate business models: niche blogging (review-site model, most common, my fav.), ghostwriting and/or submitting your written content to sites for pay, making money with Kindle (publishing stories and what not), having a Private Label Rights store or membership site, Fulfillment by Amazon and more. Personally, I had to try some diff. things before I found something I thought I could stick with.

You have to change your mentality. If you've tried any of these models before but had no success, it could be that the product sucked (can lessen the likelihood of this happening with research and what not), but it's also possible that you had a good product but gave up before you saw success. Making money online isn't something that happens overnight. It takes work. You have to be willing to learn, implement what you learn, tweak it, and repeat the process until achieve your desired results. The first site I put up wasn't a winner, but I learned and improved with my second one. It performed a lot better and made me money.

Develop your own business plan.

Single moms make a killing with popcorn made in their bathtubs.
And you can't figure out how to sell something?

You are not trying, you're just dreaming.

Look around more. You'll see plenty of online businesses that are making money that have nothing to do with the IM niches.

But even within the IM niches, I can give you two quick examples: Yaro Starak of Entrepreneurs-Journey.com and Shane Melaugh of Thrive Themes.

Both of them are doing IM and email marketing right. Yaro has a great training course and definitely not a scam at all. Shane sells an entire product suite and gives some great marketing advice.

Do more research before you buy into something, and stop hopping around like a bunny, going from one method to another. Find a solid method and stick with it. This shit takes time.

Seems like you're just looking for a magic button to make you rich. I wonder how many WSOs you bought already.

You should open your own service for SCAM PRODUCT SPECIALIST. I think you can make money by saving some newbies with your skill in this area, since you should know very well the signs of any scam products (if you've really bought so many methods).

You could make money this way...! Just take action.

Here's your problem:

You're expecting the product to do the work (read: everything) for you.

How do you define a "scam"? I'm curious.

How long do you stick with an idea?

How much effort do you put in?

What genuine problem-solving expertise do you accumulate?

Or do you just buy a product, push it out there, and hope?

What are you known for? What specifically do you fix for other people?


A product is a TOOL for helping you get from A to B.

And I sure hope you defined A and B BEFORE you got started, and bought this because it fit that specific requirement--but you probably didn't, and bought because it was shiny and hyped.

YOU still have to do the work. A hammer needs to be lifted and swung. It doesn't drive the nail all on its own.

You have created your own frustration by believing there's some magic road to success and someone or something else will do the work for you. It doesn't work that way.

I saw someone in another thread whining that they bought a program and inside it recommended they buy other things to help them with traffic and conversion.

What do you expect??

That's what business is based on: Generating Leads, Qualifying them, and Closing SALES.

If you can't afford a way of getting lead traffic, by forum posting, buying ads, banners etc., then it's time to go back to a job. That element in programs not a scam. That's a necessary part of business and if the program you bought gives you pointers on how to USE tools to help you generate leads, qualify and close them...then it's doing it's job.

You're saying, "I bought a hammer and a wrench and a pair of pliers and a hose and a box of nails one at a time over the years, without a plan, and I didn't get a freakin' house, man...what a SCAM!"

If you're blowing all the little money you have on a final roulette-wheel spin for a win, you are not in a position to do so. The product is just the tool, some advice, some expertise, a plan. It's not going to attract traffic, qualify it and sell it on its own. It should give you help on how to go about doing those things...but expecting it to do all of that is completely unrealistic and shows a lack of understanding of the basics of business.

Well, you have been here since 2011 and you have only 2 posts ? You need to get more involved here for one thing.

As far as scams ? Yes , there are Scams. But I think many of the times people call things scam when in fact they are not.

They are scams because they do not work for them. And they do not work for them because they did not implement the products or course properly or their expectations were very unrealistic.

My advice: Absorb some of the knowledge in here. Pick out some reputable Warriors who are solid and credible and listen to what they say and do.

Copying successful business models is the way to go.

Go to Flippa and using their search engine see what sites are making several thousand a month. Then copy what they are doing. Often sellers give out enough data in order to do this. Just by spending 10 minutes on there you can discover all kinds of profitable niches you might never have thought about.

If you THINK everything is a SCAM to you then they all are.

It's the typical "the grapes is sour" syndrome. I don't even think you
believe yourself, hence this post.

Stop complaining and take some action that makes sense. You're getting scammed because you must be buying stuff from people you don't know or research.

Just because you are not making money with a program does not mean that it is a scam. It just means that you have not mastered the marketing aspect of that program if you are in affiliate marketing for example.

Mastering MARKETING is the most important skill online as an affiliate marketer. Knowing what works for you and what does not.

Take a few minutes out of your day and watch this video on learned helplessness:


Figure out what you want to do, and research every step you need to take in order to make that happen.

I guarantee you, there are people making plenty of money online, and most of them are not doing it by selling products. I would also venture that most of the people who use said products aren't making much money, either.

You don't need a "system". You need to learn, grow, and most importantly -- you need to fail. You need to fail many times. With each failure comes a lesson that will make you the person you will eventually become.

Look in the mirror and you'll see the reason why people get scammed.

You have no one to blame but yourself. No one held a gun to your head and forced you to fall for a sales pitch of easy money and no work.

You are the reason scammers make money.

You can also be the reason that you have a profitable Internet business . . . but I can tell you without hesitation that getting scammed is way faster, easier, and less work than starting and running a profitable business.

You need to get out of the mindset that the way to online business success is through buying crappy schemes, by someone holding you by the hand, and by giving you a fool-proof step-by-step plan.

Your conclusion that it's impossible to build a successful online business is ridiculous. But it's apparently not as easy as you seem to want. I'm glad I didn't subscribe to your conclusions when I started. Nobody told me it couldn't be done, so I just did it.

However, if you do not exercise your right to conduct the research, and do your due dilligence to determine 'if' that purchase is necessary to your business? - it's on YOU! Own it!

If not, you are NOT ready to conduct business. You have positioned yourself as a buyer... Not a seller!

I would stand in the defense of the millions who wake up @ 4:30am to report to a job, full well knowing; something better must exist... And enlighten them of a true tale of freedom!

And, I almost guarantee... If I fired that audience up enough to get the majority of those in attendance to 'admit' they hate their job, and deserve better...

And 'sold' them an exact blueprint to follow...

I would make a ton of money!

However, despite my sincerity in wanting them to use the information to 'break free' from their 'enslavement'...

Most would go home, lose sleep, and within 48 hours 80% would wake up @ 4:30 am, return to work, focused on their comfortable routine, and NEVER apply one step in the direction of the very freedom they seek.

While the few, would read, study, apply the actions required, and keep that momentum each day at work, happy... Cause they have already accepted that they are working towards a new vision, a freedom, and a lifestyle that will enable them with anything they desire!

So "How" do so many fail?

Because they are blind to any opportunity outside their comfort zone, they do not take action or apply a belief in themself enough to make the transition their reality.

People are creatures of habit!

Breaking their routine requires courage.

Admitting they hate their job is easy, but quitting it often implies a fear of loss...

A loss they've been conditioned to believe, accept, and tolerate that the very job they hate, is their security blanket... Like Linus on Charley Brown!

Here's a confession, I recently told my previous employer to "go F himself" because he implied I needed his jobs...

I am seconds away from being thrown out of my place.

I am damn near broke.

Everyone is telling me to get a job, whilst when Iassk; " do you like your job?"

The answer is 99% of the time... "No, but I need money!"

I seek no sympathy for my decision. My boss was a ____ who doesn't appreciate his employees. He cannot do the jobs he wants done... But, he knows; a 100 others will take his offerings, only to get burned out of both time & money in the long run.

The difference being... I don't want what he's selling!

I hold the power, and despite my current circumstances, I seek no sympathy, pity, and hold no shame to standing up for those who deserve better.

I've entertained the idea of selling everything I have left, moving into my van, video taping the daily events of being homeless while building a business from nothing, just to prove that even against all those odds... I have the balls to succeed!

Risky perhaps, and somehow facing a new level of humilty, and NOT accepting the lies, most buy into... Could be the most powerful example I could ever set.

Obviously, if it fails... I would be labeled a fool.

I can only hope by example, such a half wit plan such as mine can motivate even the most talented of 'excuse makers' everywhere!

The problem is not that the job market is a scam...

The problem is, I boldly refuse to accept the escape I seek is possible buying into the bs everyone else is selling, and accepts as normal!

You see, the only way I can afford to put my money where my mouth is... Is to take a leap of faith. One which is not for the weak...

Lastly, if I could face the projected ridicule of on-lookers and nay-sayers that my plan is sound (despite the appearance) of starting from the lowest point humanly imaginable, and I do succeed...imagine what a story that would make.

Knowing; nobody will believe it... Until I prove it can & will be done!

And when I do... Money will not be my primary focus, it will be the end goal of inspiring others to stand up, and fight for their freedom!

The scams on you, not the seller!

We, the buyers hold the power, not the other way around!

Perhaps if sellers of junk had no buyers... We wouldn't need scammers. Maybe if workers were compensated accordingly, we wouldn't have poverty. Who knows, maybe we all know the truth, yet dare not accept it. For we've been trained to blame it on someone else... I take full responsibility for every bad decision I make...including 'trusting' employers... Not anymore!

How did you get scammed? Most of what I learned was on this and other forums for free.

I think you made a thinking mistake.

Many of this programs really can help you. but what most people do is this.

Read it half, think they can become instant rich, give up after 2 hours and blame the program being a scam.

Well off course this is not you, but be honest to yourself, did you give the program the right attention, and did you really understand all that was said?

The OP your statement is not true (a lie to be clear). Not everyone and everything is a scam and that is true!

Just the painfully obvious - Google, Facebook, GoDaddy, Aweber,...

You don't want to build an online business. How could you, you don't even believe they exist?

I think every succesful online marketer failed so much time that he thought that there is not money to make. But if you focus on one method, one day you will survive.
My recommendation to you is, start with a blog. You can get free traffic there, you can build an email list and also partner with other people.

There is so much scam out there and everyone knows that, but if you buy product after product, you cant survive.

Go to youtube and watch some "Kinghuman" videos and you will understand what online marketing is and how you can make money in this busines.

The truth is, the problem is me. I'm a failure at everything I ever tried to do, and I've made too many mistakes to ever recover from them.

It's pretty close to the end for me, it's just taking awhile to get there, thanks for listening...

Step 1: Cut your credit card up.

Step 2: Think for yourself.

Online is the exact same as offline. Match potential buyers with a targeted product or service. Everything else is minor details, figure it out as you go.

That's the BIG secret, don't tell anyone.

It comes down to due diligence and learning enough of information upfront to sort know if the service or product you are buying into works.

It also takes massive effort. A lot of people read case studies and other people's successes and compare to their own (or lack of) and think it's a scam, but the reality is everyone that has had success online has had 10x more failures.

You just have to manage risk, fail fast and keep experimenting. Once you start getting success, think about how to scale it. Don't try to chase after the next trend. That's called 'shiny penny syndrome' and it's a growth killer.

Great attitude buddy! Now for real, you won't get far with that kind of thinking. Start learning on your own, you are too self critical.
