    Hi Guys

Its hard to know what to say with the small amount of information in your posts.

What I would say is this ... you need to create an execute a plan.

If before that you need some training in the basic disciplines of Internet Marketing there are plenty of links and information in this forum that can help you get started.

You will notice a lot of the posts relate to either SEO or Article Marketing and other forms of traffic generation ... the bottom line is that ...
    NO TRAFFIC = NO MONEY

To make money you either need your own products or to promote the products of others using either blogging or minisites.

For Newbies I would not suggest using Pay Per Click as you will probably end up paying out more than you earn.

Hope this offers some help ...

    Thanks for the info John.

What's the fastest way to get traffic from a blog?

Do I have to wait months to get any traffic or is it relatively easy?

If you do your keyword research well and are using a blog optimised for the search engines such as a Wordpress blog you can get ranked with hours ... a colleague of mine was listed for a new page in about 27 minutes.

Learn the fundamentals and you can do alright. Avoid trying to launch out until you have studied and understood the basics.

So it's important to find keyword phrases you want to get ranked under, and then write an article targeting that phrase?

Anotherwords find the keywords first and then write the article as opposed to the other way around?

Definitely. Always begin by doing your keyword research. Without a keyword-optimized site, it's going to be tough to get traffic.

  • The big question is "How targeted are those visitors?" If you have decent traffic to a blog with amazon products, and that traffic is targeted to the offers, you should convert at 1-2% easy.

Focus on better traffic and keyword research.

I have an e commerce site where I sell stuff and I do make sales and rank really well in that regard. I made over $600 in the last 2 days.

I just don't understand how to replicate this for affiliate internet marketing. I would looooove the passive income and zero customer service

  • If you can get to the first page for any results why are you not using Adsense?

And you seem to be missing the "marketing" part of the equation. Marketing involves matching customer problems to solutions. Miss that and you make no money.

Try engaging your traffic in conversation about products/service. Try a review.. a real review. I sell what I buy on nearly all my sites so I can write candidly about the product or service.

For example: Lets say you have a site on Miami Travel. You could just throw up some links and banners OR you could book a room through one of the affiliates you promote. Then stay and after your stay you could write all about the hotel, take pictures, post the pictures. Tell people about the booking process. Be honest with them

If you do that you'll make money. It simply work. And it works for anything. Need a new keyboard... write about what you bought. How about Car Wheel? Anything ... any product works. But you have to involve and convince your visitor it's a good solution for their problem.

Thank you so much. Your reply was extremely helpful. I think the lightbulb is starting to buzz a bit.

Regaring adsense, If I want vistors to buy my product and then put adsense on the site, wouldn't that be a conflict of interest? Isn't adsense enticing the visitor to click on their link?

      Does that make sense?

If you provided a tad more info, it would help greatly. For all we know, your stuff could just suck beyond belief. Ok, I'm just kidding there...

One tip I can give you right now is that a lot of people don't realize that making money online and anything to do with succeeding at all, starts from the inside.

Some of the best advice you can ever get is simply this: Make sure you've got it together on the inside (mentally), before you go to make things happen on the outside.

Also, have some sort of plan of action and focus on and work on what gives you the most leverage.

It takes time and presenting the right product
    or service.

Who are you targeting your products to? Are you
building strong and quality relationships with your
    audience?

The first affiliate program I earned commission on was
with Vista Print years ago. I was just learning about
internet marketing and squeeze pages. I was able
create sales because I knew my audience. Little did
I know that's why it worked. I had already connected
    with those in the groups.

It's about sharing that resource or that offer you know
they need and or want at the right price.

You can and will do it!

    Later,

It would help if you showed us your site, so we may get an idea why you havent made any money. Although I understand if you dont want to expose your niche. Some common niches are over saturated mainly because of the amount of PLR material available.

I use both Adsense and Affiliate links unless the pages is a review of one product.

Try testing introducing Adsense and see if it has a negative impact.

Hi. Not an answer to the question but probably at least linked, I am a newbie here and I want to add a thread question about "I have a 90 minute feature film that I made several years ago while an independent film maker" I want to sell it as a download from my site. I need to know how to host it and who with and what methods to use to upload/download it. I don't seem to be able to find how to start a thread. Is there a time limit or something before I can participate or am I just missing the link for starting threads. Sorry to invade your question tlimstliy3 but this seemed the best way to ask. Thanks for your help in advance. Terry

Did you make the (very common) mistake of creating an ebook, creating the sales page and website and then hope you made sales to that market?

If so, that's totally the wrong way round. You need to research first to see if there is a market for your information/ebook. Then find out what that market wants and THEN you create your ebook that gives the market exactly what it wants.

i.e. Let the market tell you what it wants & then provide to them what they want.

If you can truly get to page 1 for any keyword you want, then you've essentially got your golden ticket. Now you just need to decide on your niche.

You can use a combination of both Adsense and affiliate links to, say, Amazon, Commission Junction, etc.

Really, though, if you can get in to the MSN Publishers program, I'm finding that Microsoft far outperforms Adsense.
