What do you look for in a third party website when affiliate marketing?

With the following sites as examples, what is good or bad about these sites for affiliate marketers and how could they be improved to increase your sales?

What do you like, what do you dislike?

-Fancy
-Pinterest
-Facebook
-Forums
-Others

I'm building a site different to the above, but I'd like to ensure that it is the most appealing site for affiliates to work on. My strategy is to be the best site for affiliates, and as such will be able to provide a better service to the users.

Even without the details of how it will work, your input could greatly influence the design for the better.

Regards,

Kieran

Thanks Regional Warrior but I don't need people to follow me, I need feedback on a website design which I'm designing in the hope of creating a new platform for affiliates to work on.

I have no evil motives I assure you.

This is a general discussion, so I think this is a good spot.

      Cheers

So you want to build a social network that's tailored towards advertisements? Who would join such a network besides advertisers?

It's a competitive environment where the advertisers compete directly against each other, giving the user the ability to choose the best option. The best ad wins.

What are your thoughts on that?

I don't think users use sites like Facebook, Fancy, etc. because of the ads they run. They use them despite the ads. Then one must ask why would advertisers advertise on a network with no users? Advertisers advertising to advertisers it sounds like.

I haven't given you enough useful information about it sorry,

So this site would allow the users to post a detailed description of the product or service they are interested in.

Then, affiliates would be able to compete against each other to offer the best deal from with their networks.

The user gets the best deal, the affiliate gets a chance to sell something straight to a ready to buy customer.

Simular to a salesperson in a shop, except you can sell anything from any shop and you have a constant flow of customers telling you want they want.

So the key difference being that Fancy, Pinterest ect are about browsing, this one would be about getting specifically what you want, along with the browsing functions.

          Any better?

I would agree with your point of that to some degree. Since Facebook, Fancy, etc. are not good advertise, what do you think of the efficient online advertising?
