    Hi nehashri,

could you explain a little bit further...?

Should that be a SEO question for the purpose of ranking in SE's?

    Hey Nehashri,

It would depend on your system. You can basically use any extension, and you can also use them simultaneously.

If you can clarify your exact goal the community can be of more help.
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers,
    Aron

If you are referencing the idea of using .com, .net, .org, and have them all point to your original site, it is very possible. The purpose of doing this is so other cannot purchase a domain similiar to yours and out market you for a product. If you own all the .tld's you don't have to worry about someone else taking your name and your business.

Please share the reference where Google says this so we can see what you're talking about. It really makes no sense.

I believe the OP maybe worried about "Duplicate Content" and how it can effect his/her Ranking within Google.

    According to google
Contrary to popular belief, Google is not the owner of all things Internet.

If you are referring to SEO requirements - good luck with that.

I strongly suggest you build what you want, how you want it.

You may meet all of G's requirements today and be out of favor tomorrow. Hell of a way to run a railroad!

Honestly it is a good idea to do this, Honestly could care less if Google says its bad or not it helps in preventing a site like mind buying a domain close to mine. Pretty much any time I buy a new domain that I am building a product or service around that will be big I make sure to pick up the other popular extension of the domain to prevent from this headache later on.

If you use the same content on all the sites, you can be penalized.

Don't forget that you also have Bing and Yahoo for SEO.

You can't use the same content on your domains or you will be penalized as the above replies indicate.

However, you SHOULD buy the .net, .org., .co TLDs of your domain and set them to redirect to the main. This actually helps your rankings .
