Should I try to pitch my sites at US & UK markets or just home (UK)

I'm working on some ideas at the moment. I'm based in the UK, but hey, I speak English so that should make the US (and Australian etc) market possible, right?!

That would increase the size of my potential market : amount of work done ratio hugely. But obviously it is not as simple as that.
Products and brands differ slightly, as does the exact terminology.

So, I'm wondering do I just aim for the UK market, where competition is probably lower. Or do I try for all English speaking markets. Or do I even just focus on the US market, of which I have less knowledge, but the returns are likely higher?

Any advice would be great,
Thanks,
Chris

I say try both, test it out, the United States has a lot of potential buyers, but the only way to find that out is to test to see if your offer/site gel with the U.S.
