Any advice on how to create a profitable financial website?

I'm trying to think up niches with desperate buyers and financial problems, bankruptcy, credit card debt, foreclosure, small business loans, etc are niches that look good. But is it too crowded?
Anyways I was wondering how you would go about doing a financial website?

Would you just...
1. make a financial blog with links to credit card offers
2. links to financial clickbank products?
3. Put adsense on it
4. List some financial books from Amazon

Something else I'm missing? Or would you do something different entirely?

Thanks for any feedback

Desperate buyers and financial looks good to you? How do you figure?

If you mean people with limited finances, or those looking to make money, then isn't the desperate buyer going to be a NOT so good prospect?

I don't get what you mean, if you could clarify for us, we might be able to help.

Are you talking about the Biz-Op markets where people want to make money or just about people wanting credit cards?

    I suggest doing something different

    Build an online analysis tool

Identify a problem and come up with cheap software to solve it

Put it up on the web

    Build a community around it

    Build content around it

And NO... software doesn't have to be expensive. It can be a simple script.

Thanks to outsourcing, you can get a nice tool coded for cents on the dollar.

Otherwise, you'll just be another finance blogger in a SEA of finance blogs and, once the money fails to roll in due to the RIDICULOUS amount of competition, you quit.

Sadly, you only fail when you quit.

Don't let this happen to you.

    Dare to think different.

Honestly, if you're going to do credit cards and stuff, you need to think outside the box. Don't think so much about what credit cards do.

Yes, people want credit cards because they want more money. Instead, build a website around what people would like that money for, such as traveling, buying a car, starting a small business, etc.

Think outside the box, build a very informative, helpful website, even design a small course or some software to help people figure out exactly what they want, and then offer a small business loan card or something at the end that they can sign up for, OTHER than a reason that they NEED money.

If people NEED money that bad, then they won't be buyers. Just desperate readers who are going to be spinning over and over like chickens with their heads cut off online.

The Financial niche can be very profitable, but it's very competitive, and even very frustrating. Do your research, find a niche that require money, and find an audience that has money, but want to use a line of credit to build on something or get something to make payments on it.

You see what I'm talking about? I hope this helps... I know it's kind of hard to think outside of the box, but you'll get it! Don't give up, no matter what you do, push through it till it works for you!

    Best of luck, my friend!

    By the way!
I wouldn't use adsense on a new site. Last thing you want to do is be throwing your hard earned traffic away for cents... Put in quality content, and after you're getting about 10-20 people a day, you might consider adding a banner for the best product you can find that has a good reputation already.
