I want to promote my app. What should i do. Is there any way where i can promote my app freely.

      As stated above, try fiverr if you have about 20 bucks and wanna try out a few mobile app promoters. Also get your webpage up promoting your app and try to drive traffic to it. Try creating a video about your app and get that up on Youtube asap. Make some content. Lot's you can do to promote your app.

    The best and most effective way (Cheap) is to print out info about your app and physically going to crowded places and talking to people about it.

    For example: if you have a game app, go to a college or university and talk to some kids about it. Keep doing this until you start getting cashflow then start investing in paid traffic and SEO.

    Create a profile on your targeted demographic, and find popular blogs they're likely to be interested in. Reach out to them to advertise or see if they'll review the app.

    You can do the same with social media. Find popular people your targeted demo is likely following, and reach out.

    Try using Twitter, it's a really great platform for getting people interested in your app. Can I ask what type of app it is?

    Let's say you've built a Macronutrients app. Go to Twitter, enter your subject and app into the search box, like below.


    The first result is a potential customer. Get in there and reply, let them know about your app. Keep doing this, and hopefully you'll be able to spread the word

    Step 1. Find who your target audience is
    Step 2. Find where they hang out
    Step 3. Get your app in front of them

    Like others have said Twitter can be a great way to promote apps. Look for people talking about the problem your apps solves and engage in a conversation with them.

    Same goes for other blogs, facebook, forums, etc. Reddit is another good place to check out, but don't be spammy. Redittors hate self promoting spammers.

    Last tactic is to invite EVERYONE you know to try out the app and let their friends know. Post about the app on your personal facebook page, text your friends, call your grandmother. Let the world know!

    Write a complete story about your app and let your audience know the purpose behind it. Tell them how this app can facilitate and make things easy for them. Include your app links, screenshots and videos to help them get a good understanding.

    You'll get generic answers if you don't provide us with more details about your app. For example:

    I wouldn't know if press marketing would be best for your app and target users, if promoting the first 5K copies or so of your app as a free app so as to get honest reviews from users that can help you improve your app before releasing it as a premium app and also improve its visibility in the app repositories where you plan to host your app would work well with your situation, if PPC / PPM / PPI / PPV / incentivized download ad campaigns in Youtube or Google or Facebook or Twitter or ReddIt or Fiksu would be best for promoting your app, if releasing promo codes to unlock some or all of the premium functions of your app for the first 10K or so copies would work well, if social outreach campaigns for guest posting opportunities in heavily trafficked blogs would be best for your app, etc.

    You can be able to market your application both using the free platform and the paid ones. The most common free platforms that you can use today include the social media such as instgram, facebook and even twitter, without forgetting youtube. The reason I can recommend to you this platforms is because they have good number of users who are also very active in what they do. You can therefore convert them into potential customers if well planned. You can also try the google ads even though it is always an expensive platform. There are however other platforms such as yahoo that are relatively cheaper compared to google which you can use.
