Best Web Builder For Digital Publishing

I am selling my own info products online in my niche and just realized how WordPress can really bog down my data plan with Godaddy hosting.

I already have 5 WP databases and it is slowing, so I need a better web builder, because I don't need more ISP data bandwidth.

Anyone have any suggestions for info-commerce websites? I like WP but is always getting hacked and can take long to load pages sometimes. I checked out Woocommerce but seems to be geared towards physical products?

I don't have time to learn the big stuff like dreamweaver and Adobe. I need a plug and play type..wysiwyg type of web builder.

WYSIWYG Webbuilder is the only one left I know about personally - I own it but use WP exclusively now - and it has an easy to use interface, and lots of ready to use drag-and-drop functions.

But...a better idea would be for you to buy something like Instabuilder 2.0 or Profit Builder, which allows you to export the pages from WP to HTML. Create your pages in WP first, then export them as HTML, then wipe out WP and upload the HTML pages.

Thanks, I will look into that, never thought of that. Can I re-edit the exported HTML with Kompozer?

I'm not sure, but I would imagine you could. You should contact Instabuilder 2.0 support and ask about it first, or Profit Builder, though you might be in for a long wait for reply from PB.

Which one would you prefer, Profitbuilder or Insta Pages? Looks like PB has the best deal.

I would stick with WordPress...but consider moving my sites to a better hosting server. I would not recommend GoDaddy hosting for maintaining all your WordPress-based sites.

Yea, you don't want to use GoDaddy for hosting. For a domain registrar maybe, but not hosting.

      Agreed. I don't like Godaddy...

Stick with Wordpress. Find a new web host. Someone 'simpler' and all-inclusive in their plans.

Agreed with sticking with wordpress. Upgrading hosting always helps. The biggest thing with wordpress themes though is that many of them have a ton of unnecessary code loaded and that's what bogs down sites and kills your load time. Try disabling unnecessary plugins and the w3 cache plugin if you're not already using it, or you can go to a more big-guns cloud caching platform like https://www.cloudflare.com/

Stick with Wordpress and get better hosting. Look at reviews and speed tests. Also, if your website is being hacked, try implementing a plugin to prevent that. There are plenty of threads on here regarding protecting your website.

I agree with that. Wordpress is the easiest website builder in my opinion. PLus you have access to a tons of plugins and one of the largest active community of web developpers on the internet.

As far as hacking is concern, yes you could try installing plugin, but when I did my course in front-end development I notice that a lot of people were making beginners mistake in the installation process and hacker are taking advantage of that. Try searching for - how to secure your wordpress site.

As already mentioned several times, if your serious about your business, get better hosting.

And it might not be just that's it's godaddy. If you on shared hosting anywhere it's probably going to be a problem. Not saying to stay with them, just saying, stay away from shared hosting. Get a good VPS with room to grow.

As for Wordpress and Woocommerce, I've been using it some time and all I use it for is digital products. I love it. It does digital products quite well. The combination is so flexible and you can do much more, like built in blogging. With all the wwordpress theme's and plug-in's it can do so much.

As for Wordpress getting hacked it's like anything, you need to secure it. Plenty of plugin's and options out there. Wordfence is great. Ditch the admin login. A regular html website can get hacked too.

      Thanks.

I don't have the option to co-locate a server at this moment, that is what I intend to do though...so I will have to stick with shared hosting a little longer, any suggestions on a more WP conducive hosting company... maybe Host Gator?

I have noticed in my logs that GoDaddy has tons of down time, and my domain emails are constantly bouncing even though I have plenty of space in their plan.

Many people have ditched Hostgator, myself included after several years. Their service went downhill big time after they got bought out by EIG. I don't recommend them these days. I've gone with knownhost and really like it.

Really need to get away from shared hosting, too many problems, slow, often over sold, ect.

Already been said, but the problem is your Godaddy hosting and not your Wordpress.

My 2 personal recommendations for hosting would be:

    1) Hostgator (low budget)
    2) Beyond Hosting (higher budget).

Hope you get your issues fixed.
