First $100 day on Fiverr!

Hey all,

Just wanted to share that I hit my first $100 day of sales on Fiverr! I had a sales spike today, and I had $142 worth of orders placed in the last 12 hours. Which will, touch wood, work out to $113 into my PayPal account if every order goes well.

So it is possible to make a bunch of cash on Fiverr! I still consider myself an IM rookie, but it is very satisfying to check your e-mail every hour and there to be a new order rolling in.

But there was no magic pill. Let me reiterate. No magic pill.

My first sale was back in March. It was a full month of persisting and promoting to get my first sale.

I help give Fiverr customers what they really, really want. Exposure. I leverage existing social accounts to help my customers to further themselves.

I work every day on building these social accounts and their authority - and my customers love the exposure they get.

I will turn down customers, and I have turned down customers if I think it damages my pages.

Yesterday, I came up with some extra and exciting to offer some of my existing customers. I contacted each one personally with a custom message, and I had a great conversion rate (around 50%).

A big key in Fiverr is customer service. I haven't had anything below a 5 star review. If there is anything they didn't like about my service, I will refund their entire money. This keeps my gig as a quality one. Turning down $20 can suck, but it reflects much better on my gig, and me as a person too.

I'm happy to answer any questions without revealing the exact technique. Although I think a monkey would be able to do my technique - it's simple hard work, and great communication, and adding great value for people.

But let me say this - I spend most of my IM time dedicated to growing my pages' followings, and not posting on forums. While you can learn a lot, once you have techniques that work for you - start doing, and stop talking about what you'll do.

Now I'm nowhere close to being a FT internet marketer, but this is huge. I feel really good today. And I know I dreamed about these days. And this stuff manifests if you work hard.

Hope you enjoyed reading.

    Yes it will.

You're excitement reminds me of my first sale ever. Jubilant to say the least. Congrats man. Enjoy it, and fulfill those orders. Keep working hard and building (and maybe outsource in the future) so that you can have $100 days EVERYDAY.

Congrats. What are the ways to promote your gig effectively outside of fiverr. Does forum signature work? And what other method works?
Btw I am actually about to create gigs on fiverr, I am just not confident about fiverr internal gig exposure getting me customers.

I promote it on classified ads like Craigslist, relevant Facebook, and Google+ groups, and my own social networks.

The main thing is that you have to be offering a quality service that people want.

Get your first sale by asking your current friends. Is it something they, or someone they know would spend $5 from? Go from there.

You have to provide them with something they really want. That's pretty much the only guaranteed formula. Supply and demand. Offer great value.

Fiverr is better than Freelancer. Becuase you don't have to fight to get orders ...People come to you like a real store..I am making $100 per month now with no advertisement or sharing.

Ask people in real life. Approach businesses. Individuals who are interested in websites. Think outside the box.

You're in a high competition niche, so it's gonna be hard to get sales from people just searching, especially because you're untested. So be creative in finding ways to make that first sale.

    That's a great share!
It's always an inspiration to hear others succeed, especially in the IM world.

Many newbies would be happy if they would average just $1000/month (~$30/day), so you can be sure that you are doing great.

Keep it going, and as long as it's something you enjoy doing, you can scale it up from there and it will be a matter of time before you see yourself doing it full-time.

I've had many 100+ dollar days on Fiverr. You can really make some money there. I am always swamped as a matter of fact (#2 seller so far), but I am trying to get away from Fiverr. So I'm trying to build my business to a point that it stands alone and doesn't need Fiverr to survive.

I love Fiverr, but I'm tired of paying the fees. They are extremely high for the complex and time consuming work I do. I've got a Facebook page and I twitter the heck out of my links. My clients are loyal and always come back, so I know I am providing value. I just want to get my customers to order from me directly and not through Fiverr so I don't have to pay all of those fees, not to mention having to wait two weeks to get the money I work so hard for. Any thoughts on this?
