Affiliate Marketing Worth It?

Hey everyone,

Not too active on here other than reading posts, but wanted to get some opinions on having affiliates market your products.

I have been doing pretty well selling online basketball training programs but would like to boost my income and am considering having affiliates sell my programs.

Just wanted to get your two cents on the pros and cons, as well as any advice you may have.

Thanks!

Already did, went through a bunch of pages already and haven't found anything yet on the topic from the angle of the person with the products. Every post I've seen seems to be from people looking for advice on how to be an affiliate.

        ok well here goes:-

        PROS

        1) Increase your income
        2) More exposure for your brand and product
        3) More hands off- get the affiliate doing the WORK!!!

        CONS

        1) ALOT of affiliates spam, record fake screenshots and are not trustworthy
        2) It could do more harm than good if you get a bunch or newbie affiliates pushing your product with no experience
        3) Your refund rate might suffer because of poor traffic!!

Affiliate programs are pretty much all good if you keep them restricted and evaluate your affiliates before allowing them to promote your product. However, this will take a lot more effort to set up.

If there are any popular websites and blogs within your niche, you could try reaching out to the owners and asking them to promote your product for a commission.

Your first source of affiliate sales should actually be referral sales from your past satisfied customers.

Since you say you've done well, then you should be able to do even better by tweaking your referral program first.

What are the demographics for your product? Aren't you skipping over more traditional or street level marketing (as many do)?

Affiliates cannot do more for you than you can do yourself through carefully and strategically place ads. Consider CJ or Shareasale for exposure of your affiliate program, but don't expect more than 20% of affiliates to produce any significant traction to your program.

affiliate marketin can help boost your sales and profits. But you should carefully and strictly evaluate whoever you choose because there are many scammers out there. If your product satisfys your customers, then you should define ways to use the customers to help you market the product. consumers are the best marketters who can convince others to use your product but this will depend on your product.

I agree with being careful when choosing affiliates. As some have suggested. Having affiliate that just dont send quality traffic will hurt epc. This could turn good affiliates away. I guess having a request form would be ideal. Just like some cpa offers. They want to know traffic sources, etc.

    Hi
it is important to pay attention to the person with whom you do business or you work.
Do you know how many people have written to me saying that generate 100,000 visitors a month and then visiting their site was a miserable page ??

there are people who want to do the affiliates, but only because they are convinced they make money easily and quickly, and not why they do it by trade.
