This USED to make a ton of money, so what now???
Going back about 7 years, in the days before marketers broke the Internet, people (like Bob Serling) used to do this thing where you would approach a business who had a large list, you would let them licence your marketing campaign (could just be a 5-7 day email campaign), and then you would take a percentage of the sales made to the list.
Nowadays, while people still use email, I think it's fair to say that the open rate is much lower than it used to people, and people generally promote via social media platforms.
So, my question is, how could you do something like this in today's environment? Would it work if you were to give them a set of posts they could use? Would owners with big Facebook followings really want to let you do this?
It makes you wonder how businesses now create broadcasts that go to their customer lists, not including physical mailings in the post.
ANY thoughts welcome please.
Cheers
Phil
