Hosting has nothing to do with traffic. No matter where you host your site, YOU are responsible for driving the traffic to it.

HostGator and Bluehost are the big two names in internet business; however, if you take the time to read reviews and investigate further, you can find some great deals and extremely fast hosting with some of the smaller hosts.

If you are going to buy some hosting and can wait it out for another week you should. Because all the major hosting companies will have good black Friday deals.

For domains go with namesilo or go daddy.

Weird question. I can suggest BlueHost, Aabaco, and Hostgator for minimum usage and needs.

I recommend Hostgator in the first place and BlueHost in the second place.

While I plan to switch over to WiredTree VPS hosting soon, I currently use Hostgator.

For domains I use NameCheap, and GoDaddy.

For the record, you should avoid having your domain & hosting through the same company. So, if you buy a domain name from GoDaddy, set tour DNS to say; Hostgator servers.

You may want to start brushing up on Filezilla, WordPress installs, and prepare yourself for some technical 'know how'.

You can use the Godaddy or, Hostgator for buying the Domain. If you would like to use this site for business purpose, you can buy the extension .com. As far as I know the Godaddy & Hostgator is providing the bet service. You can take a glance of these site. Thanks.

True, but you want to make sure your host won't be charging you more for excessive traffic out of the gate.

I agree, wait until next weekend to get your hosting.

Take this week to start researching now.

Don't buy your domain at the same place you get your hosting! Keep these purchases separate.

When it's your first time buying hosting it can be difficult to know what you really need or should be looking for.

Find hosts that have a demo cpanel or something you can see what the back end looks like before you buy. This will help you narrow down things.

Decide if you are ok with just email support or if you'd like some 24/7 phone support. I needed the phone support when I started and it saved me big time. Now I switched as I found a better package, which is only ticket/email support but I'm comfortable with navigating around for most things.

Some better business packages will include things like ssl certs, your own IP, etc.

Again, take this week to just go nuts and start reading up! Try to figure out what you are going to need after buying the hosting - IE will you be making a wordpress site or ??? There are servers that are optimized for wordpress.

      Good luck!

    Host gator is 65% off.

I'm going to try signing up for a new account.

Sure they've just raised their monthly prices for old customers so they could offer a great deal for new ones ha

I a fan of Dreamhost. No Cpanel. Simple FTP transfers for adding files when they are needed.

Lots of security features. Extensive domain-management tools. Money-back guarantee. Good VPS offering. Unlimited data transfers per month. Cloud storage plans. Fast help response. Lost of quick install add-ons.

Has 4.5 Excellent rating from PC Magazine.
