How to copy/paste from MS word to the my website?

Hello there,

For the first time I decided to outsource one of the contents which I am going to add to my website.
So I decided to pay to a writer to write something for me so that I add to my wordpress website. He did the job well, but now the problem is that when I copy and paste the content from Microsoft word to my website the format of the sentences changes. the highlight words are not highlight after I paste them to my website, the same problem with the font size after pasting... the question is how do you transfer a content/sentences from MS word to your website? Whats the best method?

Thank you.

Copy from word and paste to notepad, this will clear any MS Word Code, then copy form notepad and paste to your blog. You might have to do some minor editing once it is on your blog

Thanks, but I would like to maintain the font size and the highlight parts which are written by my writer in MS word, the way you say, I only will have a standard text all in similar size and without highlight.

Is that al you do when you are going to transfer a text to your websites?

You couldnt have said it better cause it works just the way you said it. This I speak from experience cause I encounter this same problem some time ago and all I had to do was copy and paste my article on a notepad, do some correction and restructuring as need be and then copy it again and paste it on my blog.

It works all the time whenever you have this problem.

If I'm not mistaken, Wordpress has a "copy from Word" as part of the
pasting function. You can also upload directly from MS Word to your
blog as well. Look up the feature.

You should learn the basic of website editing. If you use the HTML mode you should know how to work in the HTML & some CSS code in the HTML. You can learn from Youtube Video. Thanks a lot.

While it is best to provide styling in the code, you can definitely paste from Word in Wordpress. Look for a little button at the top of your Wordpress editor, it should have a little W icon.

Actually it depends on the website building software you use. The website building software i use strips the HTML formatting and coding from my MS Word documents, and leaves me with the equivalent of a notepad format. I'm fine with it, because it only takes me 1 day to get the graphics and colors and wording done. Then when i upload the webpage to my site, it's done. Forever. Good luck on the search though. You might want to see if Wordpress can do what you're looking for. I would also recommend Microsoft Web Expressions 4.
