How to prove ebook pen name?

Hi all,

I am about to publish an ebook on amazon kindle, and I want it to separate my ebook business from my real life, so I thought a pen name would be ideal. But how can I prove that my pen name is actually mine to, say, an interviewer or a potential boss?

And when I publish my ebook, I will put in my own copyright notices. Should I use my real name or pen name for the copyright?

    Just tell them the Truth. Explain why you use a Pen Name . If you are consistently trustworthy they have no reason NOT to believe that this Pen Name is actually yours.

    Using Pen Names is perfectly acceptable

    Pen Names are common and it should not be too hard to prove this to someone, especially if you have the raw files. You mention a potential boss, it would be as simple as providing a screenshot of your account page.

    See if your local issues either DBA's or fictitious names permits. Then get one in the pen name you will be using. This provides you with a paper trail and proof that you are doing business under a pen name.

    When you create a Kindle Account you can publish under multiple pen names and all are associated with you and your account by Amazon. Pen name sales will go to the account they are associated with.


    So for publishing to Kindle, it should not be an issue.

    There is nothing wrong with using a pen name.
    Even I use several different pen names for my Kindle books.
