    Rich,

The most important thing is to get moving and take action. Get a site up and active with the sales copy you have and start building your list.

Once the site is up, continually make improvements to the copy, your opt-in offer, and your email sequence.

There is no "right" order as long as you keep to the process of measuring and improving in each area.

What I see more people get stuck on is just taking that first step and getting something going.

One thing to keep in mind with what Craig is saying is in every interaction, whether it be your site, landing page, email, whatever, deliver the greatest value possible. I'm sure Alex is teaching you all some great stuff and that would surely be one of them so just make sure to reinforce that in everything you do.

Mike - I agree with you to a point. I myself have been bogged down with "providing the greatest value possible" to mean "make sure it's perfect" before I launch that new product page, article, etc.

What I've come to realize is that if my product isn't online to be ordered, I'm not going to make ANY sales and then can't provide any value to my customers. So now (for a physical product) I do what is necessary to get the product available to order, then go back and refine everything to increase conversion based on monitoring and feedback.

The key is to move forward and not get stuck on "perfection" since that never happens anyway.

With the question of copywriting or list-building for me its kind of like asking which is better breathing in or breathing out.

Both are essential for the process to continue

    Hi Rich,

    Welcome aboard.

Please, do not make a mistake what others committed already (including myself anno): want to dealing with everything simultaneously.

As a beginner the man's attention can beeing divided easily between the many things he want to make. And the result will be: you lost yourself in the crowd of informations.

I'm sure that Alex also will say this for you.

    Many successes,

    Sandor
