Wow Dragon NaturallySpeaking is amazing.

I am writing this post from my newly purchased Dragon NaturallySpeaking. I can't believe how well this program can understand my voice. If you are bad at writing this program is a must buy.

LoL. I guess it's not for everyone, because it doesn't understand my girlfriend. But this damn software understands me almost perfectly. It's actually kind of creepy.

I hear you. It had trouble understanding one of my VAs because she has a strong accent. But it didn't take long to train the software. What's cool about the newer versions of DNS is that you can train it with different user profiles that are specific to people. So even when I talk my Spanglish, it still undertands me........

It is nice to see a comment about such a great product. I have used this program for at least 10 years.Hint: The more you read to it and correct the better it gets. Even the tiny stuff should get corrected due to it could effect another word or even sentence. Good Luck with it!

I gave away an older version b/c I had heard it was trouble but maybe I will treat myself to the version 10. I've never learned how to type anyway.

I have used it.But the problem is it does not seem to understand my voice - is that because of Indian voice?I have trained it but still has not been great for me.

I bought it to dominate article marketing but my pc cannot handle it. Need new cpu and more memory and bigger hard drive. But good to hear that it works well. I know I'm gonna love it as I hate typing articles and blog posts.

I have the same problem as you. It partially understands my voice. I think one important factor is consistency in your tone which I suppose to be lacking.

How does it compare to the software that comes with Windows Vista?

To those who have used both - is it worth investing in DNS compared to that? I have only just discovered the Vista software and am playing with at the moment - seems decent

No comparison to DNS 8.0, 9.0, or 10.0. Even my DNS 5.0 was better.

I used the Vista voice thing when vista first came out and I gave up on it after 20 minutes. DNS learned my voice almost perfect in 15 minutes. Also I can talk so fast to DNS and it take a few seconds but everything I said pops up.

I'm an avid fan of Dragon NaturallySpeaking.

The only downside those you cannot use the commands in Firefox as you can in Internet Explorer.

It does not work very well with the inside of Firefox. But other than that it is awesome.

Actually, I do not type anything. I go insane if I actually have to touch my keyboard for typing.

Even when I tweet, I use I use Dragon naturally speaking.

    The program is simply unbelievable!

    Talk soon,

I bought it. It's very hard to get it to understand my voice, since my voice sounds different on recordings than in real life. It's a good product, but only for people who can't type very well at all. It wasn't worth the money I paid since I'm a decent typist.

I can type rather quickly (50WPM) but I still feel this product is worth the money. If you train the software properly it is very good at dictation. It's not going to be perfect out of the box and takes time to train.

That's pretty fast from what I can tell. I guess i can type at maybe 70WPM. I'll try it out again and think about it.
