EzineArticles can be a bit unpredictable. I have had some articles rejected for too many uses of the keyword even though it was only in the article 3 times and the article was over 400 words. Go figure.

Just keep amending and trying to push it through. Hopefully you'll get a different editor.

How on earth are we supposed to keep second guessing them when what is good one day is bad the next

Just needed to vent, I like them really because they send me good traffic and my site does quite well off it but they are just making everything seem so difficult recently with all the delays and silly stuff like this.

Perhaps you can create a page without the ebay
and amazon ads and use that one in your author
box to make it good for ezinearticles.

I deal in a sex-related niche, so I get a lot of articles rejected because of my links. However, many articles have already been accepted (not to mention the glut of them on EZA already). I just reply to the email and point this out and they put my article through.

I had a few periods where my articles were getting rejected for the resource box. They point out rule 2F, which is basically 15 sub rules lol.

Every time I sent off a support ticket the reply was "I'm sorry, it was placed in problem status by mistake."

I think it is due to rookie reviewers.

I have had articles that were already approved and running switched to error status and just re-submitted them to get them approved again. Many times I edited the articles just a little and then re-submitted them and got them approved before I ever got a response from a support ticket. Strange stuff.

Obviously no Grandfather rule applies at EZA. If perfectly fine, submitted articles were running suddenly have problems... then they're fixing everything across the board and no article is good even if it may have been by previous rules.

I've also had articles accepted by EzineArticles and then rejected after they had been running for awhile. I've never gotten a good explanation or reason, and it has been very frustrating.

Sometimes I've had to just figure out what the problem was and keep resubmitting it. They're not very forthcoming. But I have also found that it was worth it to keep trying, because EzineArticles really is the top article directory (in my opinion.)

Agreed, and again, it is faster to just keep re-submitting the article than waiting for a support ticket. Just edit and submit, edit and submit. Eventually, you'll get the right editor.

Yeah EZA does have it's quirks. When I submitted my first 8 articles it took 7 - 10 days to approve my articles. But now I got a 48 hour turn around time with 7 articles.

You never know at times.

Of course, the fact that EZA themselves rank ridiculously well in SERPs is enough, IMHO, to continue writing to them. So long as you build a few backlinks to your articles you can get some pretty cool results. I'm yet to figure that part out myself but I have seen others do it quite easily... and I have found the traffic converts very well.

Just like speeding tickets, they probably have a quota(2 minutes max) to meet but they can't just approve everything or the boss will think they are just hitting the (easy)approve button between sips of coffee.

No that is absolutely false.

They do NOT use nofollow tags on all of their articles.

Just another post made without ANY proof or backup data.

I hate it when people do that. I'm sure Christopher Knight doesn't appreciate it either.

When an AD starts using nofollow, they aren't going to last much longer...not even EZA.

For the record, there are absolutely no talks of this happening in the AD owners' community. It has been brought up a few times in the past, but quickly shot down across the board.

Same thing is going on at ArticleMarketer, and no one replies to any emails there.
We're being told you cannot submit for the most ridiculous reasons like:

1) You cannot send people to other places in your content (we tell them to find resources at the public library and places online like Amazon (and NOT .com even -- no links, nothing.)

[Now if we cannot advise people on where to find resources in our own content, that sounds like Nazis back in charge. Sheesh. Come on, the public library, for goodness sakes!]

2) You have the title incorrect (should have every single word begin with a cap, even "the" in the middle, which is not supposed to be a cap). Their rules even say it is acceptable either way, yet their automation does not allow this.

Bites big time. I think what's going on is too many want everything automated, and this is what happens. No human ‘thought’ can happen.

Just go elsewhere, my 2-cents. We are submitting to other places that have real people to at least reply and help intervene, or good automation.

Hopefully threads like this will be a wake up call. Doubtful, though, as they're too lazy to read their own support tickets, why would they come here and read....

My bad, I confess my mistake. I read it from another trusted warrior, went to EZA looked at the source code of an article and saw "nofollow" and took them to be right.

I will say this even though I don't relly think they are worth the time.

I use Submityourarticle.com for my submission service and I have never once had an issue with quick approval or an article not getting approved.

Before I was using SYA I had issues all the time.

Maybe a coincidence maybe it isn't

The are having a though time currently to catch up. Their growth is phenomenal but not surprising though. We are sending them literally tons of articles every day and then we complain the pipe is blocked?

I haven't had too much trouble with EZA. Articlemarketer on the other hand--I haven't gotten anything through without having to resubmit several times. I just stopped using them.

I've had a similar problem in the past and I'm currently having the problem again. In the past I sent an email asking what was wrong with my links and they emailed back "Your article was incorrectly placed in problem status. I apologize for the error, and do see your article is now live". I actually received an apology from them.

This time I thought the same thing was happening so when my articles were not right, I just resubmitted them and this morning they were denied again. The site that is being linked to has articles and videos on it along with some Adsense and a page with eBay auctions. When I e-mailed them asking them to be more specific about what the problem was I haven't heard back yet. Maybe I'll just submit these articles to Goarticles or Buzzle.

Here is the latest message from Ezinearticles:

Hi Jean,

Since sites that contain auctions have content that is ever-changing,
we are not able to verify the legitimacy of this content on a regular
basis. Therefore, we are not able to accept links to sites that
contain auctions on them.

Thank you for understanding.

Since then they have accepted another article no problem, and one for another site with a similare marketing model.

I think I may take my business elsewhere for a while as I am fed up of this russian roulette system based on who edits the article before publication.

I was getting an article bumped for 2.f and figured out a way around it. It's sneaky, but it works.

Use blogger to create a page with a decent amount of content. Copy and paste it from the web if you have to. Then use that blogger URL for the resource box. Once the article(s) are approved, redirect the blog to the URL you want to use after a day or two. I prefer a 301 META redirect as it's pretty quick.

Hope that helps people out. I spent over a week trying to get that article approved before coming across this thread. Now the article is approved and I can redirect to get the traffic where I want it.

  I wouldn't switch it at all - I see my sites get randomly checked by the Ezinearticles guys all the time. They know people do it and they're out to catch them.

  I had one repeatedly rejected over the auction sites issue, too. I had heard that you just had to not direct users to a page that had auction ads. I took the auction ads off of the page I was using in my resource box, and they accepted my article, even though the site itself is mainly auctions. I hope that they are not going to ban auction sites entirely like was stated in a previous post!
